Surprised me!
Needed to punch a hole in 22ga S.S. sink for an extra faucet. As a journeyman machinist of 40+years, I didn't want to blow money on a tool I'd use once, but didn't want to blow a tool on a 1-time job either.Knowing carbide would do the job, but skeptical about such an inexpensive tool, I thought what the hell and ordered this.Cut the hole dry, no lube or coolant, and it went right through with very little effort. Hole size was good, minimal burr on the breakthrough side, and best part, the tool showed NO signs of wear! Still wonderfully sharp.I'll buy another size or this one again if I need to. Good tool..... It's cheaper than the name-brand H.S.S hole saws, and I think it works better. I've burned a few of them up in the past.

Got it done!
It did what I wanted it to do, with no problem cutting through galvanized steel.

Easier to use than I thought
I used this to drill extra drain holes into the bottom of a hay feeder at the 4 corners. Worked better than I thought it would! Only took 5 minutes for 4 holes. That’s subtracting the time it took to keep tightening the drill bit with the Allen wrench they provide. It wanted to loosen while drilling. Otherwise I would have given this 5 stars. Great for the price !

Extremely Poor Quality Hole Saw
I bought this thinking the carbide would be great for drilling large holes in mild steel. I drilled 4 holes in 1/8" mild steel plate using a slow drill speed and lubricant designed for metal. I noticed when I was cleaning when finished that all of the carbide teeth except 4 came loose where they were attached to the rim of the hole saw. Since I find no warranty for the item it cost me $5.50 per hole and now I have an unusable hole saw. I did better with a b8-metal hole saw from the big box store. I will not be buying any more of these. Really bad experience. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

Packaged Incorrectly
I needed this to make a hole in a lamp post for a conduit connection so I needed this tool for one hole. It appears to be well made and suitable for my job. It worked great but…. The hole was oversized. The SKU sticker said 3/4” but when I pulled the sticker off, the container was marked 1 1/4”. So before you use it, measure the tool to make sure it is labeled correctly. It could save you some rework!!!

Much better than expected!
Doing a homemade thumb project for backhoe and needed something to make 1 inch holes in thick metal. Almost went with Annular cutters but needed to buy expensive drill also. Decided to try these and purchased 6 thinking they would only last a few holes. I am on the 6th hole including drilling through the weld seam twice and the first bit is still as sharp as it started after both 1/2" and 1/4" holes. The holes are perfect size for 1 inch pins and the project is going perfectly because of these. I am only using an old Wood Master as a drill press and couldn't be happier with the way these work. And now I have spares for future projects or friends that might need one.

250+ holes in sheetmetal- NO ISSUES
I made some custom Christmas lights for my house- needed to cut 250+ holes in sheet metal. I was worried after reading the other reviews... BUT NOPE! This handled it like a champ! Never broke, super sharp still, never dulled. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS for the proper RPM! I used a drill press in the correct RPM settings, NO OIL or LUBRICATION, drilled slowly. It took me nearly 12 hours, but dang- NOT ONE PROBLEM! Will definitely buy again.

Good so far!!
Bought this to drill half inch holes in electrical panels. Works fantastic on low speed with cutting oil. Hopefully it will continue to work well especially for this price I think it’s a great deal.

pilot bit broke on the third hole but hole saw worked great
The pilot bit broke while cutting the third hole but it wasn't too big of a deal since it could be easily removed with the included allen key and replaced with a higher quality one that I already had in the shop so I had no problem to keep going with my project. I could see someone without any other drill bits kicking around being upset about this though as it would mean a trip to the hardware store for an additional purchase. I cut 13 holes in total through a pretty thick steel enclosure box and it was starting to get a bit dull at the end but it got all the holes I needed cut. It also cut the perfect size holes for my brewing control panels lights, switches and power cable. I only took a star away for the cheap pilot bit that broke but otherwise a great purchase!

Hole Cutter worked great....except for the spring.
I cut two holes in 1/8 steel. The spring interfered with the depth as the saw cut. I removed the spring and cut the two holes in less than 5 mins. Prior to the start of the cut I slowed my cordless drill down and during the cutting process used plenty of cutting lubricant. I examined the teeth on the hole cutter after I was finished and they were all in place and I never noticed any wear on them. Very happy with this investment.
