Poor quality, poor value for money and not what I expected from Winsor and Newton.
These pencils really didn't live up to my expectations. I rather expected them to have an extra-soft core as advertised but found that they didn't. They were as soft as my Luminance and Pro colour pencils and perhaps marginally softer than my Polychromos ones. More perturbingly, the colour range is not good. The reds and oranges are too close in tone to be effective, as are the darker blues and the range of greens is disappointing. There is no information on pigments or colour fastness either. There also seems to have been an issue with making the darker leads since both the black and the dark blue keep snapping out of the casing as soon as you apply pressure to the point. So far I am halfway down both and haven't got a useable point on either which is both infuriating and wasteful.Bearing in mind that these are not cheap you also get very little pencil for your money. They are much thinner barrelled - about 2/3 of the diameter- compared to a Polychromos/Luminance/Pro Colour (see photo) so wear and sharpen down far more quickly than them. So any saving made by buying these rather than a premium brand is probably illusory and they are also rather uncomfortable to hold. The tin and inner trays they come in are very thin and flimsy and not really what one expects from a famous brand. If you are buying for the first time or upgrading from inexpensive pencils I would recommend looking out for a good deal on Derwent Pro Colour or Faber Castell Polychromos rather than getting the Winsor and Newton Studio. These will give you a better colours, sharpen reliably and work out as far better value for money in the long run. They also sell single pencils so you can replace ones you use a lot without having to buy a whole new set.I feel that these are not up to Winsor and Newton expected standards and can't recommend them.

No, No, No!
Normally I like Winsor & Newton, but I didn't like these at all. I found them difficult to colour with and the colour was not very deep. I will be giving them away I think.

Disappointing
Unfortunately this product was not what was expected. These were purchased by my younger brother who after one use found the lead in them was splitting and could not be sharpened. Upon trying myself I also found these pencils to be inadequate as every time they were sharpened, it broke off in the sharpener. I am disappointed with this product.

Very disappointing
I had high hopes for these but they’re not watercolour pencils, they just don’t blend. They’re basically expensive crayons. Would definitely not recommend.
