Granovita Nut Luncheon 420 g (Pack of 6)

A standby if a quick lunch needed
A bit of a fiddle getting out of the can But goes OK with Jkt Potatoes or salad. Needs a dash of sauce to add flavour.

Good food, tin could be improved.
The product was fantastic. I made a vegetable and nut luncheon stew with it. The only issue is the way you have to use a tin opener (of the right kind) on both ends. It would be SO much easier with a pull ring each end. A small point, the product itself is great.

Good meat substitute for vegetarians and vegans
I've been eating this for decades, it used to be called Nuttolene, since my Mum dished it up with a roast dinner instead of the meat which I didn't want. Open and remove both ends, ease all round with a table knife then put one tin end back and push the Nut Luncheon out onto an oven-proof plate. Bake in centre of hot oven for about half an hour or slice it up straight from the tin and put in sandwiches with tomatoes and crisps accompaniment.

nice, but.....
I tried this for the first time today. Had trouble getting it out of tin! Opened tin both ends and tried to push it out. Tried to cut around with knife to loosen sides. I got two slices out and the rest broke. The flavour, however, is excellent. Straight from tin was my first tasting, and then frying for breakfast. I like it, but does any one know how to remove contents without breaking it? This would help me greatly to receive such advice. But failing the lack of presentation, I am happy to recommend this product.

Excellent vegetarian loaf!
I absolutely adore this meat - free loaf. I have it in rolls and sandwiches, with lettuce and some for of chutney or pickle. It is especially lovely with Lime Pickle. I sometimes lightly cook it in butter and have it with roast potatoes and a green vegetable - spinach, broad beans, french beans! Very easy ingredient!

That it arrived on time
I am pleased to have it again, I have been eating this product since the 1940s, when it was delivered by post from the maker, to a mainly vegetarian household. It can be had hot or cold and one tin makes at least three meals.

Tasteless mush
This was really a tin of tasteless mush. I put it in the food processor and added a bunch of seasonings and that worked ok and it tasted better, but how then is that worth paying the price of this if I have to essentially make it myself.

It is very tasty, good price.
I usually eat it with salad, jacket potato and other times stir fry.
