Elon's inventions are not part of my personal life yet, but he's paving a way to the future that we need to get to.Elon seems to be an incredibly smart ,driven guy. Seems to me that he is always looking at how we as mankind can improve in so many aspects. sure people know or heard of Elon from his various companies he runs or takes part in but this book discusses his childhood upbringing and other aspects of his personal life as well. Some people have remarked that Elon is the Tony Stark of today.He started x.com which eventually became PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL) as we all know it today.Tesla, which has really got the ball moving for electric cars and created a lot of interest into the idea.Space X - which now reuses shuttles and controls for each takeoff, something that people never thought could be done. Therefore, cutting the costs of space travel, exploration, satellite launches and overall space expedition.SolarCity - He has always loved the power of solar and is taking solar power industry to another level.The Boring Company - Digging tunnels three dimensionally under the surface of the earth.Hyperloop - He recently got approval to start Construction in Las Vegas of a high speed vacuum pod since we all know traffic is brutal and is only going to get worse.That is a pretty damn impressive resume! There is no question with the way the world is currently going we need Musk. His ideas and visions are to rid or slowly eliminate the need for carbon combusting sources of power that is causing issues with Climate change.

A great read! Terribly edited
The good thing about this book is that it is like having lunch with Elon Musk. The bad thing about it is that chunks of text are repeated, then and than are misused-it is like an editor never even read it.

The organic natural wonder of this engineers mind
It amazes me how each single page of this book is so rich and compelling, feeling like a true representation of the man himself! This oportunity to step into the mind of a true legend has been the breath of fresh air needed through this book, helping to re-instal hope for the future of our children! I for one have already cornered many of the pages to show my children as they get older, helping them to also learn from Elon and his marvellous mind! There is indeed an essence of magic throughout this book concerning a multitude of topics. It appears to represent the organic natural wonder of this engineers mind by sharing his unique thought processes, ingenious perspectives and even by being written with a style of dictation similar to that of Elon himself. If I didn't know any better, I would think the man had written it himself ~but you never know with our Elon ;-) Enjoy...and spread the LOVE !!! Fellow Musketeer... X

Like a warm chat with a friend
If you have ever wished to have coffee over dinner with Elon Musk, pour yourself a cup, and pick up this book. It provides a wonderful look into his delightful personality, his motivations, his hardships and triumphs, and his desire to offer guidance to us, based upon his own experiences along the way. He comes across as both humble and bold, as he describes his unwavering willingness to continue the quest toward sustainability and betterment for us all. He is quite remarkable, on many levels, and this book offers a collective first person glimpse into what makes Elon tick... A fun, inspiring read!

Too much 'stream of consciousness'
At first I enjoyed the reading because it's like a chat and you get to know many interesting details of Elon Musk's life, but after the first pages it starts to be difficult to follow. It's not stated anywhere from where this 'script' comes from: interview? Collection of statements from chats and interviews? I couldn't get it.

Very useful to listen to Elon.
Presented as a stream of consciousness in many ways, but that can help you better understand where he is coming from. The text would benefit from a little editing of typos, and from a little improvement in the layout to make it easier to read and to refer back to. There is a wealth of information and stimulating thinking in these pages.

Good insight into Elon’s thinking
I very much like the content of the book; it was interesting and enlightening. The lack of any editing to correct misspelled words and grammar is irritating and makes me wonder why anyone would publish such a mess.

Great perspective from a pioneer technologist
It's about the making of the future and doing it now. Musk's stream of consciousness is very inspirational, enlightening and educational.

You will not regret having exchanged your precious time for reading, this I can promise....
This book about Elon Musk impressed me very much ... Through the first-person perspective you get the feeling to sit next to him and to listen to his stories or rather, you get an insight into his world of ideas. A glimpse into how his train of thoughts work ...I read Elon Musk's biography Ashlee Vance wrote before ... I liked it, too, but personally it did not touch me as much as this book ...Yes I can not lie, I am a big fan and my whole family too ... Unfortunately, such strong personalities polarize extremely ... Either the people love or hate him ... This black and white picture is very typical for us human beings and should be managed out of the way by reflective thinking and by reading books...Elon Musk is an extreme personality, just like Nikola Tesla once, I think.Thank God he has a lot more sense for business and can be much more marketable in public ... He is a visionary and an incredible genius.I think he once said in an interview that he has a kind of technical OCD, he can not stop until he reaches his goal... So in my opinion he is a perfectionist and control freak, all these things togheter shall be the source of his tremendous energy ... of course, an irrepressible will ..Elon Musk writes history with his companies and visions, he and the story of his life will be an integral part in the history books of the future...So why do not we read and inform ourselves about him now, during everything happens?I have a very selfish interest in the distribution of electric cars, bad air caused me various problems with my lungs, without ever having smoked.Of course I also like the technical progress of humanity ... I always had the hope that the progress of humanity happens faster ... For a long time there was a kind of stagnation. .. Elon Musk has broken through this stagnation in my opinion and suddenly it started ... A lot of people now want to have or even build electric cars, many now want to explore space ... And I think that's fantastic and exciting ...Humanity will soon reach Mars, many of my childhood dreams will come true!At the beginning I could not believe that a human being would put his own capital into all those companies to help humanity. Thanks to him, I am now a believerand there is no one right now who deserves it more to be supported than him and that is what everyone should do in my opinion ... What he is doing for humanity is for all of us of unimaginable high value !! I'm so happy and grateful to live in the same century to experience it all.When I heard in the media about Elon Musk and his visions for humanity first I found that very interesting and I wanted to know more about him ... From that point on, I looked at all sorts of interviews about him. Yes, I could not stop gathering information about him.This is my personal journey to discover this man, who has been given so many names, such as Leonardo Da Vinci, The Real Iron Man, The Next Steve Jobs, an alien who will save our humanity or even Jesus ... And surely some of them, hit the nail on the head ... But no matter how you think about him, take your time to research the Story behind this man, read this and other books about him, and then form your own opinion ... You will not regret having exchanged your precious time for reading, this I can promise....
