Good Value for the Content Presented
This book was worth the money although I would question its value at $30. It is rather short in length but discusses the fundamentals that will help an average golfer eliminate flaws and program sound habits into their swings by doing the drills. So if one considers what a private lesson would cost this is a Great Value. Darrell even offers one the chance to email him on those explanations one does not grasp. I have a library of golf theories. When one looks at the short time a club is in motion and the volumes written and the state of the average golfer's swing, it becomes evident that this, paralysis through analysis, approach does not work well. Breaking down the swing often results in bits that are virtually simultaneously happening with other actions and certainly nothing that can be teased out of the swing without throwing the entire sequence out of order. Darrell offers a gestalt approach that enables a good swing without all the wasted thoughts about its parts.

This stuff works!
I am a 65 year old ex- golfer who had triple bipass surgery 2 years ago. So I haven’t swung a club in 2 1/2 years. Before I played my first round the other day, I read over some of Darrell’s techniques in his book How To Hit Longer and Straighter. I just brushed up on Grip and Hitting My Power Point. At the course I hit 5 golf balls, putted 4 or 5 balls and went to the 1st tee box. I shot 94 my first time back out! Everyone accused me of practicing!

From a slice to a slight draw
I have been employing his teachings for only a short time, after laying off golf playing for almost a year went out and shot 40 two days in a row. A personal best. If you want to hit a slight draw, but never wereable to do it, buy this book.

Beyond impact
Whilst many coaches advocate release towards the target no one has explained the concept so concisely as Darrell. I am hooked in more ways that one, the ball just starts right and slings to the centre when I apply my mind to hitting from the inside to the power point. The concept is great for many reasons. It makes you think of what the hands and the club head are doing before and after impact. It makes you think of accelerating the club head post impact and it makes you feel the weight of the club head and to me this is the most important aspect as I don't think anyone can play good golf if they do not have a technique for allowing them to feel the weight of the head of the club. The advice is brief but who needs more -----money well spent!.

Get it. He'll make you your own best pro ;o)
Any material of Darren's is worth checking out, not necessarily for the explicit techniques offered, but for the sheer, refreshing irreverence towards the pile-up of passed-on-without-thinking, logic-and-physics-defying BS offered by many a well-meaning pro. Darrell's "secrets", to which he returns time and again, is working with ball spin and learning in small, confident steps. Everything else he teaches is just a lot of commonsense advice that DOES agree with logic and physics, and as the old saying goes : common sense is un-common sense ;o) Heartily recommended.

very simple method...SMH (shaking my head)..too easy
It is a very entertaining book. It may be short but Klassen give couple valuable tips to hit it far. It is fairly common sense, but many golfers take the obvious for granted. In fact, we are probably perform the tips that Klassen said when he hit the ball far. However, many golfers have no idea how they did it. Klassen actually tell us why we are able to hit the ball far, by accident. I highly recommend it to beginners and those who lack the distance.

Let's really play golf.
A very interesting booklet. Darrell's writing style draws the student into the book page by page anxiously awaiting Darrell to reveal some special or monumental "secrets" of the game. In fact, he reveals the "secrets" at the beginning by instructing the student to "think and study" the processes described and then practice!! Having been involved in the field of music for over 50 years, I understand what he's saying. Thanks Darrell. Several readings of your material begin to shed a new light on the "how-to" of this old game.CAS
