The last gasp of Levi’s 501 jeans
I paid $80 for these, because Levis has discontinued them (or at least the versions I wanted), one of my favorite jeans! I have probably bought 10 pairs over the last few years. They fit me right. I hate it that I finally find a pair of jeans that fit perfectly, they inevitably cancel it. Well, I can fit other brands of jeans! The loss is all theirs. PS: The rating is for the jeans, the review is about the cancellation.

501’s. What else needs to be said?
Classic look and excellent quality. 501’s. They never go out of style.

Real Levi's 501 Quality. Still the Best Value and Personal Fit in denim.
These are REAL Levi's 501s. I don't know what all the griping is about from the highest viewed review dated 2020. It's 2023 people. These 501s are coming direct from Levi Strauss & Co. through Amazon. They aren't knock offs, fakes, or counterfeit 501s. I got mine and they have all the button stamps ink stamps, and codes that Levi's have always had through the years. I've been wearing Levis for 50+ years, so I have a little experience. I've tried all the other jean brands, and even the high end jeans, and even the brands inspired by Levi's, and still keep coming back to Levi's 501 STF. The 501 STF is still the benchmark for rugged denim that shrinks to perfectly fit your body. I'm 5'11 185 lbs. I order W35 L36. After FOLLOWing THE INSTRUCTIONS - wear them in the tub on a hot day, then go out and do some ranch or yard work. Let them dry and shrink to fit your body. After a few wear and cold washing cycles, they shrink down to W34 L32-33 depending on how warm you dry 'em. They'll still fit over western boots, too. If you like your denim stiff and raw, order your actual size. Although, I've yet to meet someone who actually does this. Seems that it would be a little uncomfortable. Some reviewers say they aren't the same 501 as they were decades ago. Question for them...What these days is the same as it was decades ago? I can't think of much, including myself. And what's all the griping about where they're made? Yeah-Yeah, I'd love for them to still be made in the good 'ol USA, by USA workers, but that's not in the cards these days. Thank politicians and trade deals for that. The pairs I ordered were made in Egypt. I was curious, so I searched this out. Have you seen the online videos of this state of the art manufacturing facility? It's pretty impressive - with what appears to be modern equipment and high tech, good quality processes in place to ensure consistency. And what's not to love about Egyptian cotton? The 501's I have that are a few years old are now thick and soft - the product of washing them inside out and drying properly. This also ensures uniform fading of the denim so they will look great too.Bottom Line, if you want a pair of jeans that will fit you perfectly, and last years, I recommend going with the 501 Shrink to Fit (STF). If you don't want to invest the time to break them in and have a pair of jeans that fit you perfectly, you can buy the already pre-shrunk 501 versions. If the buttons bug you, go with the zippered 505s. The 505 is supposedly the same as the 501 but with a zipper. Although, I don't believe Levi's makes 505s in a STF version anymore.

Classic
These are your classic denim jeans. Love that they have the smaller waist and longer length for my long legged teenager. They aren’t the light weight stretch denim that you see a lot in both guys and girls jeans.

Love these 501's
I ordered these in 38L 32W. I usually wear 36L 32W but wanted a larger waste for tucking in winter shirts. I also expected some shrinkage. These fit great, but they are slightly big in the waist. I have 2 pairs of these and 1 pair of 36W 32L. Sometimes the 36W 32L's are a bit small in the waist. So I'm happy with the size. The length is perfect for me after shrinkage, unlike my 505's which are always too long. I think I'll stick with 501's instead of 505's from now on. I ordered these from Amazon, because none of the local stores had my size.Update, ordered another black pair and a stone washed pair. Recent 501s seem to run larger than my old pairs. TheY don't shrink as much either, so maybe 36 waist would be better than 38 next time. But the 501s still fit better than 505s or 514s if you can't try them on before buying them.

Excellent If You Like The Fit
These jeans look great and are of good quality. I really like them, however they are just a bit too baggy for my tastes when you first get them. After washing them a few times they do shrink a bit, and I much prefer the current fit they have now. If you get the right color, they offer a good classic look that still meshes well with modern aesthetics. However, when you first get them (especially with a lighter or "plain color") they can look like something your dad would wear, paired with some white Skechers or New Balances, lmao.

Favorite pair of jeans
fit was perfect. Cannot find size I need in stores. The material also added to the comfort level. Thanks for providing the options.

La talla
No me ajusta como antes, pero supongo es por la edad que va uno creciendo y no es lo mismo en la estructura del cuerpo que con la edad baja de volumen; pero siempre será un clásico y muy buena marca

Good For The Purpose
My husband's favourite jeans. He was having trouble finding the right size in the stores so was thrilled to find these on Amazon. They were also less expensive than in the stores. He ordered two pairs - exactly the same but one is slightly bigger than the other - odd but not critical. He would order them again.
