Drills into solid granite with water
Good product for the task. I'm using it with water to drill one inch into granite. Its not fast, but one doesn't expect fast. It is easy to start, which is great. I got sixteen one-inch holes so far but now it's starting to wear and show it's inner colors. Not sure how many more inches it can go, so i bought another to be ready to keep going on my project.

Did the Job !
Used this to drill through porcelain floor planks as pilot holes for TAPCONS. Using water as a lubricant, this bit drilled through fast. The remaining depth was done with a standard hammer drill and TAPCON drill bit. I did find that the TAPCONS need to be installed carefully as the porcelain is harder than concrete so I reamed the upper 1/4 inch in the porcelain before installing the TAPCON screw. Regular carbide bits will not drill porcelain. The diamond head seems ready for still more holes.

Exercise Patience!
I have never drilled a hole in tile before today!Today I drilled four clearance holes (3/16" dia) in porcelain to reach studs to mount a shower rod.The three easy steps are: 1. Exercise patience 2. Read and follow the instructions at manufactures site; address on box. 3. Exercise patienceIt is NOT my favorite job. . . but now I know I can drill four more clearance holes (1/4") thru the same porcelain to mount a hand rail.

I was told a diamond tipped drill bit would sink ...
I was told a diamond tipped drill bit would sink right through tile. At least for us...not so much. Eventually we got it to work, but we had to score the spot where we wanted to drill first with something else and then spend a lot of time and muscle to get this to pierce the tile. We used porcelain tile (so maybe that was the issue?). On the plus side, the tile didn't crack or break and we did get the holes drilled eventually.

Always do some research before you undertake a new task
Used this to drill through porcelain floor tiles. I wanted 2 of these drill bits trying to drill through porcelain dry. The bits were destroyed in no time and very little progress made in drilling through. I then tried the third time pouring a couple tablespoons of water to cool the drill diamond tip. It cut right through nicely.

My experience and suggestions
Predrilled starter hole with smaller bit and used plumbers putty to create water dam around the drill bit to prevent cracking tile and burning out the bit. Ran drill at slow to medium speed and all worked well. You must keep bit and drill hole wet ....

Broke after an hour
I bought this as another bit i had was just not doing the job. Once i got this thing it worked actually very well and drilled the first hole in about 3-5 minutes. When i went to do the other 2 holes it started taking longer. On the third hole it didnt seem like i was getting past half way mark and then thats when i noticed half the head snapped off in the hole. Only reason i didnt do 1 star was for the price it did actually work but not long enough to complete the 1 job i needed. (Installing toilet flange on tile.)

High quality, great on stucco
Needed a bit to drill stucco - cut into it easily. My old bit barely touched it
