Ross-Simons Floating Opal Pendant Necklace in 14kt Yellow Gold

Beautiful, shimmers in the light at just the right angle. It is delicate, but its made to wear for special occasions as it is in a glass ball. Definitely not for everyday use. Will definitely get the matching earrings.

Bought for a college grad gift for my daughter. She lives in a different state and wore it twice and the opal pieces that were in the glass bulb came out. Very disappointing as it was a more expensive piece and now she has nothing. If you buy, purchase the warranty.

Not what I expected. Didn't realize they were fluid filled "floating opal" drops. Think snow-globe. Very delicate. I didn't like them at first as I felt they weren't what I was looking for. Then the more I looked at them, thought about what they'd look nice with clothing wise, I kinda fell in love with them. Not for every day. If you drop them, you've lost them. With all THAT said, they are quite beautiful. I think they are a good purchase for the money and very unique.

I gave one of these to my wife 16 years ago with a pair of matching earrings. The necklace broke last week and she was so upset. I saw this one online and ordered it and my wife loves it!!

This is my second floating opal pendant. The first was my grandmothers. I gave it to her for Christmas and after putting it on, she never took it off. When she passed, I wore it and never took it off until the glue holding the ball failed. The glass shattered. I chalked this up to the way we were wearing it.The one that I purchased and am reviewing is a lot more delicate than the one from years ago. Same company. I purchased this one to go with the earrings my husband purchased. Unfortunately, the first time I wore the necklace, I shattered the glass after removing the necklace and setting it on the counter. I’m not clumsy or haphazard. I am not certain what happened. After reviewing the broke glass, it’s obvious it’s very very thing. So, beautiful necklace, delicate glass. Be very very careful.

I bought this necklace for my wife on our anniversary and it looks fantastic. Just like I pictured it; she loves it. She especially liked the weight of the chain; it made the look of the entire necklace. She wore it the same night and she received two compliments during dinner

I purchased this item and within 1 month the glass pendant broke and a liquid came out. This was totally unexpected and posed a serious safety hazard as the edges were sharp and I could have easily cut my fingers while trying to clasp the chain around my neck. I would totally discourage anyone from buying this item as there are no safety hazard highlighted ...imagine if I had slept with this pendant and it broke...I am extremely disappointed that Amazon would also have this item associated with their brand!!!!
