Coghlan's Deluxe Grill Broiler Basket

Based on what I read on the internet.. This gril is being discontinued. So if you like this grill and your are buy your first or 2nd replacement. I recommend you stock up on a few more. These are great for roasting hot dogs, bacon, etc. over an open campfire. My first one lasted 20 yrs and multiple uses.

This broiler basket was originally purchased to toast bread over an open flame on a camping trip. But since having it for an extended period of time I feel like I definitely got my money worth as I use this constantly on a grill to cook vegetables, fish, and others types of food! So it can withstand heat from grills and open flame fires and can cook a lot at once. It is durable and rather light the only downfall is that I wish it had a more comfortable handle. But it is a simple design that is easy to use and gets the job done!

Works wonderfully for cooking over the fire. We use it for burgers, brats, sausage, bacon, and pretty much everything. The clip to unlock and open can get a little hot being over the fire. Food stays in place when flipping so you don’t need to worry about losing it in the fire.

Great cooking basket for the money. The extendable handle is really nice so you don’t have to have your hands too close to the flame.

Works as described. Handles retract with a little wiggling around which is very helpful for storage. Once I flipped the sides around for cleaning and the hinges came off. I used pliers to put the hinges back on. Great to have camping to use on top of the campgrounds grill.

The picture with the description shows two dogs on each side. Mine holds four regular hot dogs on each side, that's a full pack of hot dogs. That made a big difference when grilling for a lot of people for the 4th. We also make our own brats and this grill basket held three on each side. Large enough to hold two chicken breasts, two medium size fish fillets, two medium size NY Strips...we sized everything up. My only regret at the end of the day was NOT ordering two.

Handle is way short- otherwise, works well

I have found my new favorite camping item. I highly underestimated this piece of equipment. It held hotdogs hamburgers sausages fish and anything you need to flip. It was one of the single most used items around the campsite. You will be sharing it. LOL I suggest spraying it first with a nonstick grilling spread for easy cleanup. Wipe down and hang it on a tree until next time. Why pay for grill And have to haul it around. This thing is lightweight and you will most likely have a fire going anyway.
