Preaching the Parables: From Responsible Interpretation to Powerful Proclamation

I purchased five books on the parables for a recent sermon series. Hands down, this was the most helpful!

Informative, impact-full and easy to read. This is not a theology of the parables or a complete introduction to the parables, but it contains a brief and beneficial introduction. The real benefit comes from the copulation of sermons that Bloomberg puts together on the parables. He is well read and pulls together all the main scholarly points of view to save the reader some time. Some great insight can be gleaned from this work. I highly recommend it as well as his other work on parables and his commentary on Matthew. Very Good. Preaching the Parables: From Responsible Interpretation to Powerful Proclamation

Great Read.

Fantastic, I wish he had covered all the parables, but it is goos enough, his other book "interpreting the parables is a great complement, but be ready to heavy reading.

Good read although might not be for someone who is not a preacher. It is written at seminary level.

Pretty good ideas on the parables

We are reading through this as a Pastoral team, and Blomberg has provided incredible insights. From our senior pastor right down to our intern, we have all been blessed by this read.
