Freud DS0606CW Diablo 9-Inch 6-TPI Carbide-Tipped Reciprocating Saw Blade

I have been waiting for a chance to try this new carbide-tipped blade and got the opportunity when demo'ing a shower wall. Though the blade cut easily through wood and nails, the thickness of the carbide tips made it less effective on nails and screws than my old thinner-kerf bi-metal blades. The wide kerf of the carbide tips does more damage to the wood when slicing apart framing joints. I suppose this is not a problem if you throw away all your demo'ed wood pieces, but I like to re-use my salvaged 2x4's and 2x6's whenever possible.

Cuts like a dream. I had one to cut through walls for remodeling, so I got this for landscaping and trimming molding before it is precision cut> Recommend

Beast of a blade. Demo of dozens of feet of 1in thick plaster 2x4's and nail embedded wood. Also was just fine cutting pvc. Ill never use steel blades again.

Works great for demo work. Wood and nail joints come right apart, with no obvious wear to teeth. A longer blade would be helpful in some circumstances.
