Best Dance Shoe EVER! I Could Have Danced All Night....
I have every type of dance exercise DVDs you could possibly think of...have had them for many years. Recently, I've also begun to enjoy Zumba as well. I play all my DVDs in the comfort of my own home on my carpeted basement. I figured that way I have no excuse NOT to exercise. A while back, I had bought carpet gliders to put on my sneakers so I could easily move on my carpet. Recently, I saw a video from Consumer Reports recently how not wearing the right type of dancing shoe could really hurt you...your back, your legs, etc. Even though I've been careful and have not gotten hurt, I didn't want to take a chance so I went in search of the perfect dance shoe for Zumba, etc. After reading a lot of reviews on dances shoes on the internet, it seemed that Nike was the clear leader, with Ryka and Bloch being rated highly too. However, I've come to rely on all you guys who write your reviews on Amazon. You get the best and the worst of every product, and even though there are other sites that provides this too, Amazon is clearly #1. So after doing my homework, I read through every review and decided that these Capezio Women's DS24 Rockit Dance Sneakers had the very best ratings of all the dance shoes. The majority said they were super comfortable. So I took a chance and when they arrived, I quickly played one of my Zumba DVDs, then another and another...not only are they super comfortable, but I can now pivot beautifully on my carpet. My carpet is a thick pile and it has thick padding too. If I can glide on this carpet with these shoes on, anyone can! I took everyone's advice and ordered a size 8, even though I am size 7.5. I will say that the shoes are a little big so I may be the exception to the sizing up rule unless if my feet are shrinking! But with heavier socks, they are just fine. I didn't want to send them back to only find out the 7.5 are too small. They are lightweight, provide ample support, but don't constrict you when you need to move or glide across the floor. I wish I had bought them sooner, but I figured the carpet gliders on my sneakers were enough. Not true! I also want to thank Amazon for giving all of us the forum to say what we need to say...the good, the bad and the ugly. I rely on Amazon's reviews for 99% of my purchases. And nothing beats Amazon's delivery. I ordered the shoes on a Thursday, and they were delivered to me on a Friday. Now that's excellent service! If you take any dance classes, buy these shoes...you will not regret your purchase. I think I'll go dancing now.....!

Best Money Spent
What a wonderful pair of dancing sneakers!!!! I was afraid of ordering these shoes online because there are no shoes that fit me. It may be sandals, dress shoes, sneakers, etc. and I am never satisfy because all shoes hurt my feet. I received them yesterday around 5:30 pm and wore them to my zumba class at 7:00 pm. OMG!!! I was able to do all the moves with ease. How long they will last I don't know, but I am very satisfy with the comfort. If they break apart in a little while, I will go ahead and order another pair because I am so satisfied with the comfort. I just said that because of the comments I read, but to me they seem very sturdy and of good quality. I have wide feet and ordered the extra 1/2 size. They're not heavy like my sneakers and are a perfect fit.

Size up by sock type!
I purchased these Dansneakers for Zumba class at my local community center. I made the mistake of wearing trail runners at the first class, which was a disaster for my knees and hips - too much traction! The Capezio Dansneakers were ideal for later classes - allowing support with plenty of slide and spin!As noted by other customers, the sizing is a little weird. I am a very straight 9.5 street shoe, and typically size down for dance shoes, ice skates, etc., so I ordered a 10 based on the reviews and my usual preferences - with low cut athletic socks, the 10 was TOO SMALL - so I switched my socks to thin Swiftwick Performance Zero Socks running socks and the fit was ideal. 2 hours, no blisters, arches, toes, heels intact. They're not attractive to look at, but did the job and I'm very satisfied with the purchase. So, if you prefer thick/padded athletic socks, definitely order one full size up. If you wear tights/stockings or thin wicking socks, half a size larger than street shoe will probably do you fine. They felt a little odd at first, but wore like marshmallows once on the move. :) Best of all, they offer a fine combination of traction, slide, and shock absorbance compared to cross trainers or less supportive dance shoes. Happy dancing!

The quality on Amazon vs local retail shop for this sneaker?
I brought my 1st pair from local retail store, it was last for almost two yearsand was very comfortable dance sneaker! since then, I have recommend it to my dance crews. The 2nd pair ordered from Amazon, it was ok except come with unmatched shoe lace, well. I lived with it!but that pair only last less than a year before fall apart! The 3rd pair come with not only unmatched shoe laces, but unmatched shoe size ( left one was smaller than the right one)one of the dance crew had same problem, then, we exchanged it with left shoe to avoid have to return it to exchange it.What a mistake! now, every time after dance, my left foot was hurt and very uncomfortable!I hate to discourage people to buy this shoes on line, because I loved my 1st pair sneakerThe question is maybe the qualities of the product sold on Amazon is not good as the ones sent to retail shops? But for less than $10 difference, I will buy my next pair from Retail shop !

FANTASTIC ZUMBA SHOES ON NON-WOOD FLOOR
I am re-ordering these shoes for Zumba (I am an instructor teaching 8 Zumba classes per week) for a non-wood floor studio. They perform perfectly on non-wood floors - allow easy movement, especially pivoting with a nice glide vs. jerking and pulling the knees as in other shoes I've tried (shoes that are substantially higher in cost). As to the Capezios - ORDER 1 SIZE LARGER. I have wide feet - these fit perfectly. Very light. 100% recommended. I teach other formats of exercise in addition to Zumba - and again, they are perfect for other formats as well as long as you are on non-wood floor. On wood floors, they SLIDE absolutely too much. I, personally, couldn't gain my footing on the wood floor. For wood floor, go to something different (your choice). I use Stinger XLT for my wood floor Zumba classes. No complaints on the Capezios and the price is very reasonable.
