Super easy to open and remove origional key fob case. The circuit board had something stickey on it, probably because it was damaged and letting dirt and any type of liquid to seep into it. Had to adjust the battery clip a little bit so the new battery would make contact. At first it wouldn't work but after adjusting it works great! Looks like it is brand new and works like to. Great value! Anyone can replace their old key fob case. Save lots of money by doing so. Recommended. You will be impressed how easy it is to do, you will be asking yourself why didn't I do it sooner.

My key phobe stopped working, before spending 100.00 to 135.00 I tried the new case..(8bucks if u include my battery I bought). Turned out to just having worn-out connections in the buttons

This was sought to be an affordable fix to the failing factory FOB plastic housings. The factory FOBs worked and worked well, but the housings were cracking where they snap together. These arrived in the typical two-day-or-so.Move the PCBs and batteries from the original housings, I noticed the battery snapped in and we held in a manner that it could not fall out, but it was loose. That is key. These new FOB housings, once reassembled with the factory PCBs, did not work. It was the batteries being loose in the housing. At first, I folded a small piece of paper and wedged it under the batteries. This test of wedging the batteries got them to work for a short while; not a permanent solution.My permanent solution to salvage this purchase was to fill the void around the batteries with hot glue. Broke out the daughter's little hot glue jun and placed a fair amount of it on the corner opposite where the battery contact is. Then, quickly inserted the batteries being sure the still-hot glue did not squish out where the contact will touch when the two halves are snapped together. Once the glue set up, I reassembled and the FOBs have worked fine. I choose hot glue as it is durable enough to keep the batteries in place, but I can easily remove the batteries in the future when they need replacing.I suggest you get a fresh battery (one per FOB) for you FOB if you decide to use these. Why not.One star for me having to 'fix' the short-comings of this product.Three starts for ease of assembly (to install). Snap the two halves together.Four stars for value as it was way cheaper than a new FOB at the dealer.Three stars for durability...how do I know, have had them for a month now.

This shell and button pad fit the original electronics excellently. There is a small issue that can prevent the device from working after assembling. The placement of the battery slot is ever so slightly different from the original and this can result in the two battery contacts not quite touching the battery. Very gently (and carefully) bending those contacts (the butterfly tab in the middle and the little prong closer to the side) is probably going to make it work for you (as it did me). Someone also suggested adding a thin piece of plastic under the battery to help it sit higher in it's slot. That may also be helpful. Once the butterfly tab can touch the middle of the battery and the prong contact can touch its side, that should close the circuit and the fob should work fine (assuming your battery is not dead).

It was really dang hard to snap together but once it did it was super strongly secured and worked perfectly. Definitely won’t be falling apart like the factory fobs

Yes, it replaces a damaged factory fob case. No, the new touchpads do not work w your factory circuit board. Have to reuse old touch buttons, which have all the icons worn off. Not a complete success.

Straightforward and easy to swap out parts from the old one. My old one was cracked and kept falling open, so it was not an issue to get it open. The battery and board inside fit nicely in the new one, but it was very difficult to close. Not because the insides were too big, but more because it is just a very tight clip. I had to use a vice to get it closed, but I do not have any worries about it coming back open. Did not have the issue with the battery that others did.

La calidad del control es buena, cumple su función y es casi idéntico al original, en el interior tiene una muesca que no permite cerrar correcto pues choca con la batería, tuve que removerlo muy fácilmente y con ello cierra y sella perfecto, funciona genial lo recomiendo ampliamente

I have tried other brands of this fob and after a short time they broke. This set works great and easy to install the electronics . It seems to be a battery problem with the others but this one goes together with no issues. Better quality. There are two battery types that fit these but one is smaller so that may be the reason some people are having problems with a loose battery. Cr2032 fits this fob perfectly.
