ZIWI Venison Hoofer - Small Deer Dog Bone – All Natural, Novel Single Protein, Air-Dried Treat for Gentle Chewers

My dog Lola is an 8 lb. Shih Tzu and she LOVES the hoof. She's still enjoying it and its been over a month. She has a sensitive stomach and food allergies and in combo with Ziwi's air dried food and this treat it's been my saving grace.

My dog get so excited when he gets these !! Loves them. Don't last as long as I would like but he loves them!I do not smell anything either !

My dog loved this, so did I as it kept him busy for a while. That said, it is much much smaller than pictured and no description does it justice. I should've taken pictures before it was gone, my bad. But it did splinter off at the ends in a few places after he gnawed off all the meat. Due to it's size I'd say it is not one of those that you can leave your dog alone with for long, for fear of choking. Your dog will love it, but buyer beware.

I am not speaking to the quality of the Ziwi Venison Hoofer, as much as the extreme asking price per weight($/lb). The single Ziwi Peak Deer Hoofer that I ordered cost $11.06 for .131 lbs of product with packaging weight included(see picture), making it at least $83.97/lb! The price of the single item was evident in the advertising material, but the product weight was not - instead, rough measurements of the size/volume are provided. This specific unit also measures less than 4.5" long, less than 1" thick, and 1.25" wide, which is significantly smaller than the measurements presented on the product page, and definitely does NOT consist of a complete deer hoof. Considering my 45lb dog will likely consume this in less than one minute, it will also not provide a significant amount of chewing/gnawing for cleaning his teeth, which was the original reason for the purchase, nor is it $83$/lb worth of nutrition. I am returning this product for a full refund.

Very smoky smell!!!I was not expecting a strong smoky smell. I purchased 2 and both were tossed in the trash!!!Gave my puppy bad diarrhea and I felt very bad that I gave him this. He was eating the Ziwi Lamb, and I figured these would be a great chew for puppy that wants to gnaw on whatever he can get away with.I will never give him these again, so I will stick with the inedible chew toys for safety sake.
