Rusted after about less than a month!
The description stated steel bristles, making me believe it was stainless steel, despite the extra cost of this brush I loved the design and took a chance thinking I'd keep it dried off after each cleaning and that it would last- well my cats loved it at first, I loved this brush so much at first! But as brushes do they get dirty and need to be washed after each use, I prefer to keep my pet brushes clean. I babied this brush, after each use I would clean out cat hair and spray brush with vinegar or wash with essential oil soap and then completely dry with towel. After about 3 uses I picked the thing up and the steel bristles are covered in rust! I was so disappointed because this happened after keeping the brush as dry as humanly possible and letting it air dry, so I cannot recommend this brush to anyone until they make the bristles stainless steel, I felt like I wasted my money investing in this thing, so back to my plastic pet brush that does air dry and can be cleaned and dried properly. If you prefer not to clean your pet's brush, then you might like this expensive pet brush, or maybe have a hair dryer handy and be prepared to stand there and blow dry the brush after each and every cleaning so that the brush actually lasts- but I'm not confident that would even work. I wound up throwing mine away sadly not long after purchasing it because the 'steel' bristles were literally covered in rust. PS it's more of a dog brush than a cat brush, it didn't really collect much cat hair, the bristles were too wide, but my cats did enjoy being brushed with it, it had a great feel against their fur and my hand, it's really a shame it's not made with better materials, then this beautifully designed brush would have gotten a full 5 stars from me and I'd still be using it.

MY ELDERLY DOG LOVES BEING BRUSHED
My elderly dog loves being brushed. This is the first brush that she doesn't wince from. Full metal brushed create static shocks and hurt her. Even though one side of this brush has metal bristles they don't seem to build up and release static or hurt her. Nice product well worth the money!

Cheap glue
Purchases this brush 5/2020. Lasted barely 14 months with regular usage. I have a 20lb and 40lb dog and this brush worked well for the most part. I’d say the quality of the parts were good but the manufacturing was not. The spike side of the brush is glued in to the wood and didn’t hold. Cheap glue? I don’t know but I’m disappointed that it fell apart.

Stiff, but otherwise good
This works pretty well on my Siberian Husky. The pins are not sharp, which I like. It does not bother my dog to be brushed with this. The only real drawback is that the pins are quite stiff, making it less flexible and harder to clean. Also, the "ergonomic" handle is oriented for using the pig bristles only. (That side does NOTHING on the husky coat).

SNAP!! Goes the handle!!
The first 4 times I used this double sided brush were great. Purchased in October. Yesterday Jan1st While brushing my Akita the brush broke in two at the base of the handle just before the brush. Thought it was all wood , NOT, plastic inner core. How do I return it? First brush ever to break in 50 years of raising Akitas.

Good grooming brush till it broke.
This was a great brush till it broke while brushing my 2 GSDs. I had used it 3 times and this is what happened the 4th time. I liked the needle bristles on one side and soft bristles on the other side. I just wish it held up longer.

This dog brush did exactly what it was intended for, brushing the dog until
I was brushing my dog one day and the brush broke in half. I was like WTF this brush wasn’t cheap. I thought because of the price it was all one piece. (NOT) they put some kind of Dow Rod in the middle of it and it it wasn’t even wood it was some kind of plastic and that’s what broke in half. Oh well.

Great brush and great price
I have a curly haired Australian Shepherd/poodle cross with coarse fur, and a Maltese/Shih Tzu cross with fine, wavy fur. This brush works great for both of them. I love the rounded ends on the metal side. They both love to brushed with this. This is a great product at a great price point. I will likely buy another as a back up.

Great and Bad brush
Great brush for my doodle BUT only lasted 10 months before snapping in two! Guess I will purchase a one piece wooden handle from now on. Shame they went cheap on the quality and testing, because the brush head was super.

Decent product - woof.
My bouvier sheds like crazy and this brush really came in handy. I love the double sided brush aspect to it - and the easy grip makes it easy to handle. My dog doesn’t fuss at all when I use it on him and it’s fairly easy to clean.
