Very comfortable and stretchy. The length is a bit longer than what I wanted does pass my knee a few inches. Around the waist I'm a 32-34 i bought the large size shorts as recommended in the description and I'd say it's spot on. I love the little details like the shiny button has a rose gold look to it. These are definitely shorts you need to iron before wearing as you can see in the pictures I posted.I can't find anything negative to say besides i wish they weren't as long in length. To be fair if you folded the shorts there is a matching inlay design that matches the stripes on the pockets so i guess if you decide to wear them that way it won't be as long (included picture to explain what I mean). And if I'm being very picky i really wish the metal on the draw strings matched the color on the buttons on the pockets (picture shows what I mean dark grey metal on drawstrings vs rose gold button with black design). Just an FYI none of the bottoms actually do anything. The ones on the back or front don't button anything up they are there strictly for show and honestly I'm not even mad at it.Take away. Love the shorts they are comfortable, look amazing with a plain colored shirt or even beach relaxed look maybe with a button up and some low cut shoes. The waistband makes it I don't have to tighten the drawstrings but it's good to have if I have heavy things in my pockets. I could wear these with about anything I like the look and pretty unique.Year update:A year later shorts are still here and good condition. I've cut my lawn, done mechanic work, gone to the beach and everything else in these shorts. They dry up pretty quick so I tend to wear these over my swim shorts like if I go to a restaurant or something then after going to beach or pool. if I get them wet I'm not too worked up about it because I know the bottom doesn't stay wet for long (along the waistband it will because it's thicker)They got a few spots and stains but that's my fault.These are my go to shorts to hang out around the house or head to the beach.I'd recommend them. If you don't abuse them like I did, they are a good comfortable short to hang out with and go out with that look great.

Quite comfortable shorts. Similar feel to heavy drawstring cotton shorts. Good length past knee. More form-fitting look that I’m not a huge fan of, but I guess it’s the style today. No front opening, so you’ll need to “pull them down” to relieve yourself. Deep and wide side and back pockets. No other pockets one might expect on say cargo shorts.Cons: The drawstrings are both too short and the metal collar at the end is stylish, but can easily fall off if you don’t tie a bigger knot at the end. But again, the string is already too short. Also, I have a stockier frame, 5’10 and 220lbs - XL seems to be the right size, but the shorts tend to slide down in the back when I move. Perhaps once I lose a few more lbs I will be able to tighten the strings a bit more properly so this doesn’t happen.

The sizing was off. They did not fit so I gave them as a gift. They run small. The quality is good and look durable. They were very comfortable feeling. No zipper just pull strings.

Size up if you don't want a tight fit. Nicely made and look good but very snug.

Great buy. My hubby loves them and says they are so comfortable. They look great too.

Vacation

I'm wearing them right now. A few comments. First, they are really nice. The fabric is surprisingly comfortable. They look good and overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase. Onto the bad. I’m a 34 waist, so I ordered a 34. They fit, but it’s not loose by any means. They fit tighter than I would have expected for this type of shorts, but just a note, if you’re looking for a little looser pair of shorts, maybe go a size up or order it knowing that? Along the same lines, the draw string doesn’t present much to tie them tighter. Could be a plus, could be a minus. I have shorts that dangle those draw strings low, and it’s kinda weird to have that swinging down there, but these ones are kind of the opposite side of the pendulum. If you need to actually tighten them, you better be able to tie a small knot. If you don't do that, there's a good chance you're going to be showing your best buds your butt whenever you bend over because there's not much keeping them up.
