Q: are these laces waterproof and will not shred and does not have any cancer causing agent.

They are waterproof as they are made out of silicone rubber or some type flexible stretchy material. They do not shred. About the cancer agent, I do not know. How do you even test that?

Q: Why are the 3 pack of white, black and grey ($11.99) more money than the 4 pack of white, black, grey and rainbow ($10.99)???

Q: How do you pick a size?

I always picked adult sizes for my kid’s shoes. There are more pieces than you need for most shoes, so you can just choose the larger or smaller pieces. I would say if you are getting these for anyone who is 8 or older, go adult.

Q: How do you remove these with out breaking them so they can be used on another pair of shows?

These were so hard to even get in that I didn't even try to take them out and reuse them. I used needle nose pliers to put them in, maybe those would help with removing?
