Hitman (Unrated Edition)

Have seen this movie many times.The acting of Timothy Olyphant is excellent and specially the acting of Olga Kurylenko is exquisite!Liked it so much that bought it!But, remember... "beauty is on the eye of the beholder".

This is one of those movies I Never Ever would have believed I would go out of my way to purchase. Basically, there is not one video-game turned movie that I truly liked (this even includes Resident Evil... and ALL those sequels...; and Lara Croft Tomb Raider).But, say hello to the HITMAN which is easily the first exception to my video-game turned movie rule (that they are not all that good).Even with the easy to critique idea that this bald-headed special agent with bar code tattoo on back of noggin' would make him conspicuously difficult to "hide" among a crowd of people AND the fact (eventual hero -- it's difficult to know, at first, if he's the good guy ... I, personally, never played video-game before) is lucky to survive early assassination attempt because, well, we wouldn't have a movie without his survival.But, put that aside... because now, this man with no (real) name "Agent 47" (that explains a lot) is very pissed-off and ready for revenge against the Agency and/or the people who tried to set him up.This is a good Jason Bourne-type action movie (the "suspension" of belief more acceptable in HITMAN because it is Just Based on Video-game) with explosions and special FX definitely good enough as is Timothy Olyphant who is surprisingly effective as the sleek, smooth, soft-spoken, bad-ass, man of few words with the incredible focus to get the job done above all else (how Agent 47 resists the Russian babe is so Anti-James Bond it's worthy of a chuckle) "This is not a good idea," Agent 47 proclaims as he lay prone, 'straddled' by the sexy Russian vixen. Every red-blooded American (or Russian - only fair) male would certainly "beg" to differ.The Russian girl caught in the middle of this Interpol, CIA, Russian Secret Service mess is played by Olga Kurylenko and (to me) she is more memorable in HITMAN than in the Bond movie Quantum of Solace that deservedly offers similarities (to HITMAN).Through it all, though, HITMAN manages to elevate itself to a more original, atypical look at shady government officials as well as Bureaus and/or "Organizations" that exist in the shadows/above the law. HITMAN is a cool, well made,(directed by Xavier Gens and photographed by Laurent Bares) very modern B-movie that has 'cult hit' written all over it. No wonder a second one was made (7 years later).Dougray Scott plays Interpol agent trying to prove the "Ghost" Assassin is real. "I've been after him for 3 years."Robert Knepper seems perfectly cast as suspicious (naturally, to us) Russian secret service agent. The guy just HAS that look about him.There is plenty of good acting (another surprise, really) by a handful of these "stars" who you realize you have seen before -- somewhere; and more than once; but where?For what it's worth I also saw the second Hitman movie called Hitman Agent 47 and I believe the first one with Olyphant - at the lead - is better.My 2015 copy of HITMAN (2007) is the Unrated (strong R for sure) Edition complete with plenty of blood and violence, and Olga's seduction and/or nude scenes in tact; and all for 5 bucks. A no-brainer steal.The bending plastic case cover is sleek in it's own right and light weight without cracking (at least not yet - and I have twisted it a 'little bit' ... will not over do it though...).Xtras are deleted scenes and alternate ending. Alternate ending should provide some topic of conversation whether you like it or not. Great buy.

Well, first of all, at the beginning of the film, I kind of felt dissapointed.The movie seems cliche and the action was kind of something that you see anywhere, the main charactor Timothy Olymphant doesn't have anything to grab my attention, I mean true attention, something like pity or why should I love him or even doe he has some kind of trauma that is so bad that I cannot but to pat it and try to smooth it somehow.But then again the director is Xavier Gens who made <FRONTIERS> one of the best horror filmmaker of all times.There are three best horror films in my life that are so brutal and so pain to watch that they are alost legend in my collection that are <FRONTIERS><THE WOMAN><INSIDE>. And this director made one of them.Then he made in to Hollywood!This is his first feature made in Hollywood.So I waited.The waiting was not in vein.The movie get better and better.The appearance of Olga Kurylenko was not that helpful at the beginning. Her fake Russian English accent was kind of disturbing at the beginning. And plus her thick makeup and her tattoo on her face was not that pretty.But she was getting better and better too. She was a sexy charming enchanting woman after all.I first saw her from the French movie called <L'annulaire-The Ring Finger>. She was really young and too innocent back then. Then she came to Hollywood with the <HITMAN> then <007> then she is lpractically living in Hollywood.Timothy Olyphant, I don't know him so well but in this movie, he has two faces, one is an innocent child like face, the other is a mad scary face that is pefect for the roll.Two of them make a perfect couple.Olga from the beginning of her career didn't felt afraid of being totally nude and again from this movie, she was overly being nude. I think overly is the perfect word to be used. Fer whole frontal nude was just for the male audiences and that was not at all necesary for the movie at all.Also always naked when she sleep was kind of cheesy too.But again, she is a beautiful sexy woman which I cannot avoid to say.This movie is packed with good action scenes.I wouldn't say they are as good as JOHN WOO'S films since his films are not comparable, but just right next to his films I might say.The second movie was not directed by the same director and maybe you should skip that one.

It's a cool movie, if you've never seen it man! you've lived under a rock lol. So most peoples who bought it have seen it on TV and like me wanted it in their collection because.... it's a cool movie period, a bit like those Matt Damon Bourne movies, they're fun to watch.
