PillivuytEden 12-Ounce Extra Large Porcelain Mug

VERY GOOD!

I was tired of using coffee cups purchased by specialty coffee houses because they always seemed to have some sort of defect. The Pillivuyt Eden 12-oz porcelain mug is just perfect. After a few months use the glazing is still as new. In a nutshell, just coffee taste (or whatever your favorite beverage), no cup induced flavors. Although a little pricey, it's worth every penny. I also purchased their 12-oz pasta/soup plate - again - just perfect! (Sounds like that movie "The 5th Element".)

I originally gave this 5 stars but since thenthe handle fell off one of the mugs and the other developen flaw sin the porcelain. I contacted the seller & never herd back. These are expensive mugs. I never had thisproblem with cheapie ones. The 5 star original review was based on the following- With all the news regarding lead and cadmium leaching into food I decided to replace my dishes and coffee mugs. This was not as simple a task as one might think. I feel fortunate to have discovered Pillivuyt an internationally known French maker of high quality porcelain that is cadmium and lead free. It is also microwave and dishwasher safe. Their glaze is non-porous which ensures that their products don't absorb bacteria, tastes or odors.They're pricy but the peace of mind is worth it. I love my Sancerre dinnerware and their Eden mugs. I especially enjoy the 12oz size and shape. My coffee or hot chocolate stays hot and the mug is very comfortable to hold. The large handle was essential.Not only did the product not luve up to the reputation but customer service with this sell is non existant.I am a fan of Pillivuyt over all but especially appreciate my Eden extra large mugs.

I love high quality in everything and this mug is super high quality. Feels great in your hand. Looks great with my all white dishes. It would go good in a traditional or modern kitchen. Super happy with the quality, look and feel. I've bought more since getting my first one. They are expensive, but worth it. :)

ordered 3, one made it in one piece. shameful packaging. three cups in a box with only a few pieces of airbag.the cup itself is a heavy, well made piece of work. love the cup but oh that shipping.

I usually use a travel mug, but purchased these to have on hand for guests. They really look nice and I find I use them when I work from home. Plenty of extra room for whipped cream on lattes or hot chocolate.

Nice large Pillivuyt mug....I have different styles and the porcelain is an exact match to my other pieces. Extremely satisfied with the new addition to my collection!

its okay, but got it for a guy friend and handle not large enough, kept it for myself, way too expensive

Beautiful french ceramic quality. Very difficult to find any faults. Appearance,heft, & function very commendable.
