A gorgeous 4K display.
I'm not super technically inclined, so unlike some buyers, when this monitor came I wasn't carefully checking to see whether or not there were dead pixels or the likes. I consider myself more of a mainstream consumer. My main concern was that in paying $200 less for a refurbished unit I was at risk of getting something sub-par compared to a new product. As far as I can tell, that isn't the case. The display looks fine to me and compared to my existing monitor is simply gorgeous. With great color contrast, a 4K resolution, and brightness up to 500 nits, this display simply is stunning. I'm using it with a 2018 Mac Mini and I can say that thus far I've been extremely satisfied with my purchase. Getting $200 off a unit with more or less the same functionally as a brand new monitor is a bargain. The only downside perhaps is that this display only works with Macs as far as I know. Had it also worked with PCs, that would've been even better, but alas one shouldn't get too greedy.

So good I bought a second one - Best display for Macbook Pro
This is an absolutely excellent monitor, I now have 2. I prefer this smaller screen to the newer LG ultrafine 4k 23in or 5k 27in - it has higher pixel count to size ratio compared to those larger monitors, and is easier to see the whole screen and fit on my desk. Can’t even tell they are refurbished. Beautiful glossy finish, excellent picture quality, brighter than the macbook pro itself but almost identical color profile. Super simple plug and play, and controlling the monitor via the macbook pro touchbar makes it a breeze to adjust. With 2 of these I don’t even need to plug my computer in, the power delivery is great. Only 2 cons - when you plug the monitors in, they often override the aux line to my speakers, so I have to replug them in. A small annoyance. The other, slightly more annoying con is that the 3 USB 3.0 ports on the back of each monitor, while good for a mouse adapter or flashdrive, are only USB 2.0 speed. No good for a harddrive or anything you need fast data transfer. Ah well, you can’t have everything. Everything else about this monitor is amazing.

No, you cannot daisy-chain them!
I'm writing this review and giving it 1 start primarily to point out that there are two contradictory customer answers about daisy-chaining these monitors and unfortunately the answer that is wrong shows up on the first page of answers. (I have up-voted and down-voted them so hopefully that will change.) I didn't even see the other answer till I got two of these and tried daisy-chaining them and started looking for more information. For the record, there is only one Thunderbolt port on the back of each of these so NO they cannot be daisy-chained. The other USB-C ports are simple downstream ports that won't support another monitor. I'm pretty ticked off right now but I really don't want to go through the hassle of sending them back. I lose the convenience of only having to unplug one cable but I stay docked most of the time so probably not the end of the world. But still, spending almost $1000 on a couple of monitors you want things perfect. Buy the ones off the Apple web-site if you need daisy-chaining. Aside from that, they are super sharp and the speakers are at least a couple notches better than the MacBook Pro speakers.UPDATE: After closer inspection, one of them has discolored pixels in the top center of the screen. Going to get a replacement and hope for better!

Macbook Pro 2019 - perfect monitor for my needs
When I got my new Macbook Pro 2019 (Mojave), my old, but still working apple monitor wasn't compatible. I tried several adapters for my old Apple Cinema 23" display but I couldn't find a working configuration. Then I bought a different new (less expensive) monitor that is not USB-C native and required adapters for USB-C. Not being a super techy person with hardware, that was not working for me at all. The other newer monitor was not staying connected when opening and closing the laptop cover, and it was a hassle to re-connect every time I'd come back from working in another room. This LG 22in HD 4K Ultra Fine LED Monitor for Mac Only USB-C Renewed is just like brand new - I wouldn't have even known it was a renewed monitor because it arrived just like brand new. I will say, I work in close proximity to my monitor. I don't have a huge desk, and I'm using this mainly for work (graphic design). The only thing that would make this monitor even more perfect for my needs was if it was just a little bit bigger (a 23 or 24" would be the ultimate perfect size), but this works and I can't beat the quality at this price. I just don't have a thousand+ $$ to drop on a new monitor sold by apple. This picture quality is just as good as my old beloved Apple Cinema display, maybe even crisper. The color seems perfect for my needs. I love that whenever I re-connect, the monitor comes on fast with no issues. The proper connector for my 2019 macbook pro shipped with this monitor. I don't have the time or patience to deal with a non-USB-C monitor.I also love that that monitor has an easily adjustable height and tilt and it stays in position once you get it set up for yourself. The base doesn't take up too much footprint space on my small desk, and because it's flat, I can lay the laptop overlapping on it.As mentioned, I am not a super tech, especially with hardware - this was a snap. All you need to do is unbox, plug it in and it's ready. Yay for USB-C native!I'm really glad I bought this monitor. Highly recommended if the small size, perfect crisp high resolution is what you need.

This monitor is excellent. Very close if not an exact mirror of my MacBook Pro I have plugged into it. Usbc power is perfect. We use this monitor all day at our photo studio with no complaints. Definitely worth the purchase.
