Good product! Focus
Good product! Focus, libido and awareness definitely are benefits. I'd say energy is enhanced, but more so its awareness during my workouts that it seems like energy. I didn't read the dosage and took way too much (a teaspoon) the first few times. Wasn't a bad thing, but I was super aware in a weird way. Trippin on pine bark, who knew?!Taste is rough. I mix with just water and use a straw and its bearable. I'm too lazy to bust out juice or yogurt, that might make it better. Stacked with other things it's not as bad.If I could ding this by 1/4 star it would be for the packaging. Prior to opening this the first time you should put it inside a large ziplock bag, it makes a mess because the powder gets above the package seal. Given the cost savings and quality, I can live with that. I put the entire contents into a jar and its much easier (read "less messy and I don't get brown fingers") to spoon out.Lately I've been stacking this with BulkSupplements L-Arginine, and Nutricost L-Citrulline powders before uhm "bedroom" workouts. Lets just say blood flow gets where its supposed to. Amazing!

Pycnogenol substitute
I've been using Pycnogenol for a while now. I've used the Healthy Origins brand: a small capsule filed with dark orange powder. I'd on occasion put it straight on my tongue and I loved the tart taste that. It would seem to me, it would start getting absorbed right away! I'd also open a capsule and add it to my coffee. As much as I love Pycnogenol (and the above-mentioned brand selling it; there are always differences in fillers!), Pycnogenol is expensive. I've been thinking of switching for a while. I've seen some clinical studies abstracts on pine bark extracts made from pine bark other than French maritime pine bark, and I thought it should be a fine substitute (for those who are new to the subject, there are several types of pines. Pycnogenol is made of one particular type of pine growing in France, the French maritime pine).I finally got this powder, and I'm very satisfied with a quality. The color is warm brown as opposed to reddish/orangish of Pycnogenol that I've taken so far, so one might suspect there may be differences in chemical makeup. Nevertheless, the taste is very similar, and right now I crave this powder just as I used to crave my Pycnogenol fix. I know some people don't like the taste, I just love it :). I add it to coffee for aroma. It smells like pine forest to me :).The powder is very finely ground, dissolves in my coffee perfectly. I don't have anything else but my impressions to claim it does something good to my body, but I crave it every day. It is my impression it's pure as well, and I trust Bulk Supplements as far as purity testing anyway.

Have been using for a couple of weeks
I have had so many health issues since getting a certain shot and doctors right now are baffled as to how to help me. Not to mention I also have an autoimmune disease on top of these new issues. Anyway it's supposed to help heart, brain and joint issues. Well so far I have noticed that my energy is a little better with Pine bark extract than without it. I put 1/4 teaspoon in my coffee substitute drink every morning. Most of the time the 1/4 tsp stays in lump form so I try to drink it down without stirring it so it doesn't make my coffee taste weird. But sometimes I forget and stir it all up - it mixes eventually or I find if I mix it in first with my coffee powder and sugar before I pour in the hot water then it mixes well. It adds a bit of off flavor to my coffee that way but it's not that bad. I can't say that I have noticed any other help yet other than some extra energy but from what I have read is that this can take up to 12 weeks to get the full benefit from the product. I am also adding a 1/16th bit to my dogs food every other day (they are getting really old and have some arthritis) so am hoping that it will help with their aches and pains too. I may begin to up my dose a little bit take 1/4 tsp 2x a day instead of once a day to see if I see more results. I will write more as time goes on but so far I am glad to find something that has so many benefits for the body and mind. I am over 60 years so anything to help keep me healthy is a blessing - I am allergic to most medicines so I do what I can to avoid them. This product seems to be of good quality and seems fresh (although I don't have any experience with other products yet) and was priced about the same as others online. Stay tuned for more information in a few months.

Great price and quality
I’ve been reading about pine bark and it’s antioxidant properties. I finished a bottle a couple of years ago and noticed clearer eyes and skin but it was so expensive. When I saw the price of this I decided to give it a try. I’m seeing improvement in my health even though I don’t take it every day. This powder doesn’t taste the best but I prefer the taste over added chemicals.

Great product, great price, and it works.
I used to take this substance in pill form but much prefer the powder. The taste is not really strong and this powder easily dissolves in liquids (be careful with carbonated fluids, it will cause these to foam quite drastically). I use it in smoothies and don't even know it is there. This pine bark extract appears to work better than the capsules I am used to taking (not Bulk Supplement brand) and I have not had any of the negative side effects I have experienced with other brands (stomach aches, head aches, etc.). I have been taking pine bark extract for a couple of years and started after a really bad cycling accident. Even when my bones had healed, I still have a lot of overall body pain and my doctor recommended this for the muscle soreness, pain I still suffered. It works well and I don't look like an 80 year old man when I get up in the mornings. I will definitely buy this product again. It is the best pine extract product I have taken and I look foreword to trying additional products from Bulk Supplements. One last thing, I noticed some reviewers of other Bulk Supplements products complained that the bag was hard to re-seal. I have never used a re-sealable bag that was great so I always put a binder clip on bags. Simple and cheap fix.
