I bought this as I live in a flat and wanted to exercise without disturbing my downstairs neighbours too much. The mat is very thick and comfortable and is easy to store away. Whilst it hasn’t completely removed the noise of my running on the spot or jumping, it has reduced it by a fair amount. Would recommend to someone in a similar position to me or someone who has wooden floors.

My husband and I bought two mats from UMI at the start of the year. I bought the yoga mat that is not as thick as this one, and other than slight wear it has been great. This one however is absolutely awful....and I am devastated to realise I’ve missed the return window by 2 days. It’s almost like it’s lost it’s top coating, making it feel sticky. It doesn’t provide any grip with or without shoes, and your feet literally squash right down in to it. It feels like you’re stood on a cushion or duvet, rather than something you are supposed to exercise on. A really disappointing purchase, that is now even dearer to buy. I would definitely recommend not to buy at all. If it has to be an UMI, then go for the yoga one (with markings) as an alternative.

Bought this for my daughter to help protect her from a hard floor while doing aerobics.It’s thick enough to give a good level of protection but any dents caused by my dogs nails as she walks over it remain permanently.The supplied elastic keeps it rolled up when not in use and can be used for carrying it as it creates a handle.It does slip against the carpet at times but I guess that is to be expected.

This is a good mat and really thick which I love! My only complaint with it it wherever you have leant on it leaves an indentation, so the product looked really worn and old after one use! And every time I use it, more indentations are added which is a shame with it costing over £20!

Really nice to stand on and comfortable for my back when doing laying exercises. It doesn’t roll flat very easily though and with some standing exercises feels like the mat is stretching a little when I place my foot down.

I'm just a beginner but it feels like a really sturdy thick mat, bought about 2 months ago and still in tip top condition, nice and thick, so none of downstairs folk are bothered even when doing HIIT exercises

the mat arrived exactly on time as a birthday present but unfortunately the carry straps were not included in the parcel. however the mat itself was very good value.
