Jack Link's Wild Sticks, Hot Flavor, 1 Ounce (Pack of 20)

These are some of the best meat sticks you can purchase. The spice is just perfect! Is one of my husband's favorite snacks.

I've loved beef sticks since I was a boy and now that I'm an adult, it's one of my (many) guilty pleasures. Mouthfeel and consistency is very good, although it can feel rubbery after a few chews when all the flavor has been expelled by mastication. There's not much of a distinct flavor as far as taste goes. It's adequate, but I can't say it's got a smokey flavor or any other kind of memorable taste, besides a bit of spiciness and some tartness. It's very oily however and feels "wet" in the packaging. Squeezing it onto a paper towel, it's easy to see how much oil is in here.I'd recommend buying 1 or 2 to try before committing to a 20 pack. My favorite beef stick remains Rolets Big Beef Chevy.

The pictures you guys used are not of the same product. The picture you used of the ingredients didn't include pork. What I got in the mail had pork. I specifically chose your product for that fact and that I'm trying to have a kosher diet. Now I have to find out what to do with these meat sticks that have no worth to me.

Good and fresh the box it came in was fine.

...not particularly spicy even compared to the regular Slim Jim (although they make a spicy version, I haven't tried it) -- not too fatty, with a solid meaty flavor. I've gotten these at convenience stores before, and enjoyed them, so figured I'd get a box. Won't be buying these too often, but a nice snack occasionally.

better than Slim Jims
