Frigidaire 242058230 Refrigerator User Interface

*Update*The LED segments have started failing on this item now, so I'm changing my rating. The bottom portion of the first digit does not show up anymore. This is what my original OEM display was doing, but on a different segment. I'm still giving it 2 stars since it managed to last almost 10 months. However, I feel that something like this should last a lot longer. The problem must be due to poor manufacturing, because I don't hit or abuse it in any way. The freezer door doesn't bang into the counter or anything else when I open it. And I don't slam it shut. I don't even adjust the temperature of the refrigerator. The last time I touched this display was when I installed the part.Unfortunately, Frigidaire's parts web site says the warranty for parts is only 90 days. I've tried contacting Amazon, but they don't even respond. So I'm out about $150 for this. I won't be buying or recommending Frigidaire any more.Original Review:Works in my Frigidaire FGHS2631PF4A, where the original display had missing and faded segments for the temperature after only a year. It's too soon to tell if this replacement will do the same thing. But I will update this review if it does. It's a very pricey piece, but it was an exact fit and an easy swap-out.

Tried to snag a warehouse deal to get this on sale. Big mistake it was a bust. Someone else apparently also had gotten it and it didn’t work and left a note on it. I hope they pull it and don’t send it out again as I taped a big sign onto it again on the outside and returned it.Anyway ordered a new one and it’s working great now! Hopefully it lasts the distance now. Otherwise I won’t be replacing it again! It was super annoying not able to see the numbers on our fridge even though it worked. So i went ahead and decided to fork out the $$$ to fix it. It’s so absurd how expensive a small chunk of plastic is with some basic LEDs. :/

I am not a fixer person but I decided to give it a whirl as I didnt want to pay for someone to have to fix my light panel and I am glad I did! We bought an older home with our fridge included in our contract and the light panel was mostly out so you couldnt see what you had set water, ice or crushed ice. It was so easy to change it and they even provided a link to the video in how to install it. It took me all of 4 minutes! Now my fridge looks brand new!

I pruchased this to replace the OEM which had become unreadable. It was very easy to install just a few screws and remove and reconnect a couple of electrical plugs, 10 min. job. It's been working like the day I purchased the refrigerator.

I accidentally fried my user interface while changing out the broken water and ice dispenser. The new user interface fits and works perfect just as before. This one is even better because it has an added feature that the old one did not have. We use our water and ice dispenser a lot. At night when we have no lights on there is now a very faint light in the dispenser area. You can now see where to place the glass to fill with ice or water without turning on a light. Once the glass is placed against the actuator paddle the bright light comes on just as the old on did. I really like this unexpected new feature.

Had to have my original panel replaced because the lights burn out one by one. AND then those lights start to burn out one by one. This is my second replacement in under 5 years. But what do they care? 90 day parts warranty. POOF!So this one came, and the bag was torn open, seal was ripped, and unit was scuffed.Nice. It came back to whatever center from some other customer, and they just threw it back on the shelf and shipped it to me.Thank you. Appreciate that. So I sent this back and am awaiting a new one.Try to pick a new one please.Not good biz practice. Not at all.

This review will important for some of you because when I entered my refrigerator's model number (see headline), the Amazon page said "We're not sure this part fits your refrigerator."But this was $30 less than the user interface board with the EXACT part number for my fridge, available elsewhere which was 242058229. The part number for this interface was only one number different: 242058230. On a hunch that that the difference was nothing substantial, probably only the icons painted onto the touch screen, I took a chance. And it FITS AND WORKS PERFECTLY! So I think it's safe to say that part number change was only for the surface silk screening and nothing at all to do with electronic function.

This thing was kind of expensive. I bought it because the numbers were not showing very well. They were dimming and not showing all the way.The new one came with an air filter replacement light. I don't believe the old one had that, so this is a plus! It's so easy to replace and it looks amazing.
