I've been upgrading the system in my 93 Pathfinder. Replacing the door speakers was frustrating trying to find something that would fit. But I created a plywood trunk that holds an amp and two 6 X 9s that take care of any bass that I need and these replaced those speakers. Ironically the holes were slightly off but it wasn't as bad as replacing the door speakers. It is frustrating that the industry does not create and use a set of standards so that we don't have to modify every time we want to replace a component.These are fantastic speakers. I get more than enough bass with the amp and clear higher levels as well. I love the look which is still stylish even though it is simple. The grill is easy to attach which was a huge and frustrating problem with my previous set. I finally found a set of door speakers that I could get to fit which coupled with my Pioneer 380BT give me a complete sound system.The price is great too so I hope they last a while.

Bought these for use in a homemade boombox (picture of mock up) and they are perfect. Aesthetically they look good, and functionality, they sound great. The box comes with helpful instructions with pictures, and a template for cutting the holes in a speaker box for the to fit into. Some wire is supplied which was fine for my needs as I did not need long lengths of wire, but it is fairly short and more may be needed for your intended use just as a heads up. I also found adjusting the settings on my amp to give a slight bass boost helped even out the sound, I found the bass was a little quieter then preferable without adjusting equalizer settings, but that is minor and if used in cars, most car audio systems have equalizer adjustments, as well it may depend on the amp being used.

Ive always liked the Kenwood brand. These speakers are affordable and sound great!

Installed into a 2015 Toyota Tundra SR(Amazon said no fit-LOL) Anyways, out of the box the speakers feel quality they are a nice weight and when you remove the cover you see your 5 way speaker. Upon install I had to modify the door plastic covering by sanding down 1/2 of plastic on the backside of the factory door and what they show as a built in plastic grille speaker cover. For clearance Purposes is why I had to do this(probably why Amazon said it did not fit). So be aware if it says it does not fit that could be why. Anyways, the speakers sound great. They are clear and send very little bass to the speaker but what bass it does, sounds amazing!! I had already replaced the rear speakers and added a subwoofer so these were one of the last steps. 52.95$ for a set of 2 speakers seemed decent to at least try, and I am glad I did!!!

Here's the deal.For the price, these are phenomenal speakers, just be careful what you're expecting. I personally wasn't expecting them to bang like kicker 6x9's as I'm a "full system" kinda guy. If you're planning on complimenting these with another set of speakers that bring the bass or a woofer, I really couldn't recommend them more. The absolute clarity in them is fantastic, and please don't take me wrong with the previously mentioned shortcoming in bass range, they actually handle bass very well, the issue is they're not "dirty speakers", so you're not going to get deep, dirty tones out of them, they bump, they about blew my speaker covers off (literally) when I stress tested them, and on my drive to work today, really getting to use them, I was absolutely stunned at just how clear they are. However, I noticed when testing them with my woofer unplugged, regardless of their wonderful clarity and range, they are a bit lacking in that "deep tone" dept, so if you're an eclectic listener like myself, you'll find yourself a little put off at the way they make some songs sound, again, only if you don't have a woofer.They themselves, door speakers turned off and woofer disconnected, they filled my accord with luscious sound, you can hear every nuance of a song like you had high quality earphones in, the treble can be pretty harsh and if you're not pushing 4-5 way high end door speakers, you'll have to adjust your fader because these will overpower them and make it sound all the music is coming from the back of your vehicle, which isn't a negative, it's just a heads up.In short, I highly recommend these if you're looking at a budget system, I've built thousand dollar systems into a few of my cars when I was younger, I'm an old guy now though and while I still like my music as much as I did then, I don't need to annoy my neighborhood or my wallet with it, and throwing a "better than factory" set in at a reasonable price (I always aim for under 500) discounted gems like these are a blessing. Can't recommend them enough, but I can't say too many times, you'll need a woofer for balance and depth, nothing extravagant, just a 10" bazooka tube will do.Jam on!

I gave it 5 stars overall, and 5 stars for 'Sound Quality' and 'Value for Money' even though only 2 stars for the sub-rating of 'Bass Quality'. I knew when I purchased them, from reading other reviews, that they weren't amazing at bass, but that is you have a sub-woofer, they produce fantastic mids and highs. Well, I have a sub, and got these for the back shelf of my sedan. The mids and highs sounds are sterling. Fantastic. I have a total custom high-fi set-up, music is amazingly important to me and fidelity a top priority, and these hold their own easily. If you have a sub, it simply isn't possible to go wrong with these at their price point. I highly recommend them.
