Good extension of 1st edition, but material property curves (SN-Curves) are no more included in this edition.The book is excellent!

Dave Steinberg's books are some of the best books in the topic.If you are in the business you most likely know this already.If you are just entering into the field of mechanical design for electronic equipment, this book is indispensable. It is worth its weight in gold!

Great book. I'm a quality engineer and it's difficult to find easy information, besides military standards. Loved this book. I haven't got the 2 edition (people say that's better), but I am very happy with this one.

Good place to start for shaker testing
High-frequency vibration durability testing is more mythology than science when executed by many manufacturers. Steinberg lays out a straightforward process for working through the issues related to shaker testing. This book alone is not enough to develop a thorough testing regime, but there are nuggets here that will get you well along the path to life/durability testing for components.

Excellent Book for Vibe Fatigue Analysis
This book should be used as part of a university course in dynamic analysis. It pertains mostlly with electronic equipment but the principles are similar for types of analysis as well. Every chapter has something special to offer.
