Vise Grip Quality
It's Vise Grip! Can't go wrong with them. Works great, like all Vise Grip tools. Just looking at them & using them...you know they're high quality.

Another satisfied guitar player! Cuts through strings like butter!
I have been buying bargain-bin wire cutters for years, expecting the $2 specials to work on guitar strings. After a few string changes, the strings beat up the cutters beyond belief, making string-diameter gouges in the blades, and rendering the cutters useless. I've been ramping up what I pay for wire cutters but have always wanted something compact enough to put in a guitar case, so I can have it with me wherever I perform. In a word, these cutters are fantastic! I expected the hardened steel blades would more effectively cut through the steel-core strings, but I figured the compact size would necessitate additional force or the blades would still have difficulty cutting through the strings. I was shocked at how little effort it took. Even larger but cheaper wire cutters required additional effort, and might not have cut through the string. But I had no issues cutting through the largest strings (consequently, the G, since it was not a wound string) and the smallest (high E, which I always had trouble cutting through with cheapo cutters, as they'd never cut all the way through). I've done 3 string changes and there's no damage to the blades. If these ever dull out, I have no issue getting more. They're relatively expensive and work phenomenally.Buy with confidence. These are great cutters.

Excellent for musicians
This is a terrific pair of string cutters for musicians; likely the best pair I've found. They're nimble, well-made, and very sharp.

Easily and cleanly cuts memory wire
I have tried so many small wire cutters on the memory wire I use for bracelets and they all were damaged by the wire. These are small, but cut it easily with no damage to the cutter's edges. I took off a star because the spring keeps them open so wide and the toys are so sharp that it's hard to store them or to feel safe keeping them in a tool box. I'll try to rig something or maybe I'll try to modify the spring.

High quality at a great price
This cutter feels and works as good as several other high dollar side cutters I have.I use them for cutting and stripping wiring for electronics and for cutting fishing leader wire and braided fishing line. The fact that they cut braided fishing line neatly makes them exceptional for me.They are excellent and very reasonably priced.

Great product
I bought some of these off that bidding site that were supposed to be the same model number.... the blades on those kept chipping so I came back to Amazon to buy another pair. These work great on something that is about 4 to 5 times thicker than say ... guitar wire? I had another pair that I used daily for 4 years and after being in storage for awhile, the spring came out. But, after trying other small-sized pliers that didn't nearly cut what I needed them to, I went back to these. Now... my old pair still cut, but since I use them regularly, I needed that spring action. If not for that, I would have just kept using the old pair as the blade edges were still perfect. Would definitely recommend you give these a try.
