Canon PIXMA MG2120 Color Photo Printer with Scanner and Copier

This is my second Canon Printer. I only replaced my old Canon because it started getting moody and cranky after 7 years of interstate moves.This printer exceeds all my expectations. The scanner works perfectly and print copies come out quickly and crisp. The instructions are intuitive and easy to follow.What I was most impressed with was Canon's superlative customer service. I had questions because someone else set up the printer. I emailed Canon and got helpful responses almost immediately. I had more questions so I called.I have never experienced such excellent technical customer service. The person I spoke with took her time, actually spoke English and was patient precise and clear. She walked me through a procedure and then took me to Canon's website for an update and showed me how to install it. The call didn't end until she was perfectly satisfied that I had no further questions. She invited me to call again with any other questions or concerns.I am so impressed. I am so happy.

After reviewing other printers for price and features I chose this one as my first printer for printing coupons, making copies and printing photos. It came before the estimate which was nice. It took me hours to get it going after unplugging and plugging the cords, usb and shutting it down. After 3 hours it finally worked for me after trying another usb port. You have to make sure the computer and printer are on at the same time and being that my computer is energy star it kept shutting off after 10 minutes of non activity since the installation is about 16 minutes. After that I've printed coupons, made copies and printed documents from school. At this price this is a good printer and it is working fine for me. I'm glad I chose this despite the comments I read because for me and my budget it is good.

This Canon printer/scanner is OK for the price but replacement ink cost about as much as the printer. Construction is somewhat flimsy with too many gizmos and gadgets. Print quality is good. Overall it's an OK printer but because of the ink cost it's not one to be used everyday. I liked my old Canon Printer with the individual ink cartridges much better and was surprised I could not find something similar in the Canon line at a reasonable price. This printer was shipped fast and did get me back up and running and at a giveaway price and for that it gets 5 stars.

I haven't used this product yet, but, it is very nice and came packaged extremely well. I thought it was a wireless printer but when I finally had a chance to try setting it up last week I realized I ordered the wrong thing. Unfortunately too long a time has passed to return it, so it is just sitting on my desk. I probably won't use it, rather maybe give it away to charity. I had no need for a regular printer; already have one. Really, really wanted a wireless.

My older Canon all-in-one failed after 3 years -- called Canon and was told that the error that came up indicated a hardware problem - They offered me the Pixma MG120 as a Canon loyalist (I have a Canon video camera and have always used Canon products) for $70. I bought the same model for half the price from an Amazon online dealer and it came within a week.This Canon printer has some advantages over my old Mp480 which was more expensive at the time I bought it -- the paper tray is easier to use as it is in front - the older one had it at the back and the paper sometimes jammed as it had to be inserted down on ther back tray and slipped at times. Setup was easy and so far it functions well - albeit it is not as fast as a laser printer. Canon ink cartridges are not cheap and I had a problem when I tried to use generic ink cartridges with my older Canon -- so far have not needed to use replacement cartridges. Also, individual labels that I tried to print that were smaller than the usual paper slipped a few times. Had to reinsert several times and ink smeared on the glossy labels. Otherwise, it functions as well as my older printer and copy and scan have worked as well. For the price, this is a good printer - better than HP, Brother or Lexmark which I have used in the past and which jammed.

I needed a color printer and one that would print quality photographs. It arrived on time, was well padded in the box so it was in excellent condition and ready to start using. I have not had a single problem with this item and I couldn't be happier that I decided on this Canon product as it is also a Scanner and Copier. All functions work great. I would, based upon my experience, recommend the Canon PIXMA MG2120 Color Photo Printer with Scanner and Copier. For the price, it's superb. Suzie t.

I don't like to write bad reviews, I rather shut up. But in this case I feel that it actually benefits you, a potential buyer. I moved from the east coast to the west coast and did not bring my HP printer with me. I found this Canon printer MG2120 on Amazon and thought it sounded solid.From day one it gave me a hard time. It sometimes uses 2 or more papers and immediately the paper is jammed. Many times it sounds like it is printing, but its just adjusting over and over again and no printing happens. Error Codes on the display probably 4 times out of 10. When it actually prints, many times the color isn't dry and it smears, no use for a bad print. It can not print on glossier paper (my HP could do that just fine). It has trouble using thinner or thicker paper than the standard printer paper. I printed some pictures on photo paper and the colors were nor as true and vibrant as my HP.I am VERY disappointed! From one moment to the next the print head position rearranged itself and for 2 hours I've been trying to fix this, both manually and automated.... every time when I try it either gets paper jam, shows an error or it won't arrange nothing. I give up! This is a piece of crap and not worth your money. It might sound like a great deal, but it is not, it will make you angry. Spend $20-30 more and get an HP. That's what I am gonna do right now.Good-bye you waste of money MG2120!
