Fantastic for bad feet. Buy them now.
These shoes have helped me so much. I also have flat feet/fallen arches and plantar fasciitis. I’ve had this problem for three years. It’s been terrible. I’ve through physical therapy. Purchased (and returned) about 40 pairs of shoes and 13 pairs of insoles in that time. It’s gotten to the point I can barely stand. I have other physical problems, too. Bad spine. Weak hips. And I’m on my thirties! They hold my heels stable really well. I highly recommend them for strong stability. I was surprised that it wasn’t a ton of special arch support that made them feel right. It was the stability. Holding my feet still. I can walk now! I admit, I don’t like how these shoes look much. I’m not a running shoe person. But I’ve gotten a bit desperate and I’ve grown more fond of them. I call them my beta fish shoes because I think they look a little aquatic.I have two pairs of shoes now. If you have any problem like me and are searching, Alegria’s Essence has been like heaven. I’m a walking person again.

Soles too soft for outdoor use.
Comfy shoe but the soles wore out in less than 2 months. Maybe it’s only meant for treadmills? I walked 12-15 miles per week on asphalt bike paths and cement sidewalks, and from 1/19-3/3 I’ve already worn down the outer layer of the sole. There’s no way I can get the usual 300 miles per shoe out of these.

So Comfortable!
As a nurse I am on my feet 12 + hours at a time. These shoes are very comfortable, provide plenty of support and also allow enough air to breathe through. I ordered the wide width and my normal size and they fit perfectly!

Great for RA!
Love my Rykas! By far the best tennis shoes have ever owned. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and my feet, ankles, and knees are severely affected. These shoes help me get through a full day of walking with minimal discomfort. THANK YOU RYKA!

but cradle the instep and heel area beautifully. The cushioning is wonderful
Because I have wide feet, when I opened up the box, I was expecting to find the usual heavy, frankenstein-like shoes. No so!!! These are very attractive and lightweight. They have a wide toe box, but cradle the instep and heel area beautifully. The cushioning is wonderful. The uppers are made of a light mesh which I think will be nice and cool in the summer months. They are, however, not the best shoes when the temperature is around freezing. I can feel the cold, in these conditions. I bought my usual size (9 wide) and they fit perfectly. Love them.

Comfortable
I usually work wear a 8.5 or 9 but my feet are wide. I ordered a 9.5 to be safe and they fit great. They have a tiny bit of extra room at toes but fit very comfortably around my feet. The top fabric part is mesh so don’t wear these in rain or snow as you will have wet socks immediately. They soles are Very bouncy. I can wear them for 8-9 hours even in the first few uses. Can’t say anything about how long they will last but will update my review as they wear down :-)Update: I have had them for 6 months now and they do not have any holes but do show signs of regular ware. I wear them almost everyday and am beginning to get sore feet as my day ends. Looking into buying a new pair, as I think the padding in the soles are wearing out.

Love them so far!!!
Hi!, I have owned these for about 2 weeks now, and I have to say so far, I love them. arch support is great, I never had that with my New Balance, I am a cashier in a very busy supermarket, so I am on my feet all day on a concrete floor, standing on a fatigue mat, so far my legs are not tired when I come home!!, or when I am standing at the register! The only negative thing about these are that the laces are difficult to lace through the slits, because these are not holes. I ordered my usual size 7 1/2 and they fit great, there is probably a 1/4 of an inch of room and I can wiggle my toes, so they work for me. I also walk up and down hills with them, and they work fine and are cushiony, hopefully they won't wear out too quick, because I wear them everyday. I had skechers with the memory foam, but they break down way to fast, hopeully these will not break down to fast.I will update in a couple of months to let you all know if they are still great!

Very comfortably made for women but wearing out very very fast.
Shoes are very comfortable and definitely supportive in the arch area. What I don't like is that the first layer of rubber is almost completely worn off the soles exposing the next layer and right into the no-traction cushion layer. *update at 3 months into wearing. Yes, I wear these every day to work waitressing as they are very supportive and comfortable, but after just 3 months of use they have worn right down to a foamy layer. They are also the absolutely worst smelling pair of shoes I have ever owned. My feet have never smelled bad after a shift and now they're unbearable even with powder inside before I start my day. That being said, I will be buying another pair if I can find them cheap enough. I'm not too thrilled at having to shell out another $60-90 after only 3 short months. It's kinda rediculous.

Best shoes ever.
I feel like a kid with a new pair of light up shoes! You know, they have to show everyone & how fast they can run! LolI have spent hundreds on orthotics & still had foot issues. Plantar fasciitis, high arch, collapsed arch, wider feet & PAIN.These shoes are amazing! Comfortable no pain! They fit perfect, wide at the toes & support my feet like no other shoe ever has. I can walk again pain free! Loved so much I bought a 2nd pair 2 days later. I felt the “2” has a slightly wider toe than the “3” model. Both models are great

My new favs!
Covid lockdowns make you do some unexpected things, like order running shoes online. I never thought I would go there but I did. With a little research I found these runners specifically for my walking needs. I walk a lot, for those fitbitters out there... on average I hit around 100K steps a week most of them from speed walking. I went for a long walk the day my shoes arrived and have not stopped walking since. The shoes are great, light, cushy in all the right places. I have not had any issues with either my calves or hips which I can sometimes suffer from, especially if my footwear is subpar. Overall, I love my new runners and will definitely be ordering them again when the time comes.

Is this a new trainer ?
These trainers arrived today, just in an Amazon box no correct packaging and signs of dirt on the soles. Which makes me question a. Are they genuine and b. Are they a return. I have no problem with returns however these show signs off wear. For the price they need to be perfect. Please check product before sending out. Disappointed

After over 20 years still best shoes on the market
Been wearing Ryka shoes for over 20 years while running and now in my later years walking. Can just put them on and go straight off for excercise ... as long as you get one size bigger than you usually wear!! Amazing shoes had a problem with a pair I bought beginning of this year with the wear but Ryka refunded and as it was a one off I have bought these ones with the refund. I have had these shoes before and the wear on them was amazing so I cannot see there being any problem this time.

Light and comfortable, much as described.
I was a little confused since I ordered a UK 5 and received a UK 4 - having said that, it fits well so perhaps there was a reason for this anomaly ! No reason to return it after all. Good to wear when Power Walking on all terrains, so light I wonder if I have a shoe on at all.
