Just got it! Very excited, as it's been on my "You spent how much on a what?" Wishlist for years. Gorgeous deep colors, nice quality and heavy weight to it. Was a little surprised by the cotton weave texture of the curtain, since the pictures give off a silky/smooth impression. Not a bad thing, just couldn't tell since there are no close up shots of the fabric on the sites selling it. Until now! Including one in my review in case someone else may find it useful.Dropping one star (for now) because it does smell absolutely terrible, like the other negative review mentioned. Even my ridiculous joy of owning this masterpiece cannot distract from the unpleasant odor that has already permeated half my house since I hung the curtain up an hour ago.But I'm not tossing in the towel (curtain?) just yet. It's been sitting in a warehouse - of course it's musty. Apparently it's machine washable but I'm nervous to cause any fading after just getting it, so I'm starting by letting it "breath" outside for bit. If that doesn't help I'll try gentle wash with a bit of baking soda.I REALLY want to keep this curtain, but it currently smells worse than the person getting in to take the shower. 😅>>Update - hour and a half of airing out outside helped the smell but not completely. Instead of waiting for the smell to fade on its own over time, I ended up washing the curtain in the washing machine by itself, delicate cycle, cold water, with woolite. Also dissolved 1/4c of baking soda in warm water and poured that directly in the basin to help absorb odor (dissolving it first to help prevent any white residue streaks). Hung dried it outside in the sun (color side face down) and then warm ironed the non-printed side to remove residual wrinkles. Color stayed just as vibrant and now curtain smells fresh.Updating rating to 5 stars since the smell was only temporary and the rest is just enjoying a fabulous shower curtain.

I love this shower curtain! It is gorgeous. The fabric is thick and feels like an expensive curtain...which it is, so yay! I have a few Thomas Paul items in my home. People compliment the various items all the time. This curtain gives the whole coastal decor theme a classy, fun upgrade. There is a dye smell that takes a few days to air out, but it does go away. Love it & highly recommend this fabulous floral kraken.

This is a beautiful shower curtain that really added some drama to my small guest bedroom bathroom. It is a bit pricey and comes in a nice canvas bag. They could probably reduce the price if they did away with the canvas bag.

I absolutely love this shower curtain by Thomas Paul 🐙 it is beautifully made. Thick material, rich vibrant colors, and something that my family and I will enjoy for years. We love the ocean and aquatics and this does the trick without being “too beach themed” love love LOVE IT! Worth every penny if you ask me you get what you pay for. Buy this and you will not be sorry. Smell was not great but after a few sprits with my tea tree/spearmint spray the weird box scent went away quickly. It’s hard to describe not moldy just like it’s been sitting in a warehouse or box. Nothing a good spray, airing out or wash wouldn’t fix.

Gorgeous! I obsessed about this for several months before taking the plunge and purchasing it, but I’m super happy I did. Let’s face it, that’s a lot of moola for a shower curtain. But my husband brought up a good point... it’s something you will use literally every single day. This thing is breathtaking. The colors are brilliant. The quality is implicit in the weave of the fabric before you even touch it. Speaking of the fabric, it is heavy and luxurious. The design is elevated, which is rare amongst the results of my “octopus shower curtain” web searches. It’s not so pretentiously modern that it looks like it belongs in a cold museum, but it’s definitely half past traditional, transitional, or contemporary. I digress. It was a fantastic purchase and if you’re sitting on the fence because the price, just jump!

This thomaspaul shower curtain is more like a beautiful piece of art than a shower curtain. I was really hesitant to pay this much for the curtain but I loved the look of it on Amazon. I was bracing myself to be disappointed and want to send it back. But I am so happy with this purchase! The colors are exactly as pictured and the cloth, construction, quality are simply perfection! This piece really took my bathroom to the next level...serene, artistic, oceanic.

Gorgeous addition to our renovated bathroom, looks amazing and exactly as advertised. As this is a fabric curry I did also buy a plain shower curtain to go in the bath to make cleaning easier.
