Summer Bridge Activities®, Grades PK - K
S**N
Two year old and Four year olds
I got this Summer Bridge Activities, Grades PK-K for my daughter who is begging to attend Kindergarten. She will not be eligible for entry until she is nearly 6 due to her date of birth. She is a smart cookie! Let me tell you. Her cognitive skills are that of a night-owl. She can out smart any smarty pants, just ask her, she will tell you! "I'm SMART, RIGHT!" Notice that was NOT a question!I was more than happy to oblige her condition by further training her to continue to outsmart her peers once that beloved day comes that she will be able to marvel her Kindergarten teacher with her serious skills.I also allow my two year old to pretend like she is participating by going over the sheets that my brilliant four year old has already completed. This, I feel, will train my two year old to by just as amazing as my four year old, otherwise, she will be stuck is the dark shadow cast by her big-Einstein-like sister.

Good for even small kids.
Buy the next level. I bought this for my son for the summer between Pre K-3 and Pre K-4. He and I worked on it a few mins each evening. Most of it was at his skill level (maybe 10 lessons at the end of the book were more difficult). We used a special magic pencile. I colored with him. I do feel like it help maintain the skills he had already learned, gave me insight on what he was capable of, and gave us a fun activity to do together.

Great books!
Both of my kids have worked on these series of books for several years now, and they both enjoy them, and I find the material to be appropriate for the grade range indicated. There is plenty of opportunity to work ahead for them, as well as rewards, and we have found ourselves moving on to the next year's book early, which is good. Overall, highly recommend these books for over the summer, even if your kid's school already has a summer curriculum in place (my kid's does, but I find it a bit sparse).

Great workbook
After reading reviews about preschool workbooks I chose this one for my son who will be in pre-K next year. He is flying through the book and loves the worksheets. I wanted him ready to do worksheets at school next year, while also challenging him.

Good Workbook
My 5 year old has a great time with this book. If you have a more advanced student they may be able to move through it quickly. However, because the pages are easy to understand through the illustrations, he really doesn't need much help going through the work. It's a great way to keep their brain working.

Great Book
It's a little easy for my child going into Kindergarten this fall. But, I didn't want her to forget anything and she wanted something to do along side her sister. As a Pre-K Teacher, I really liked some of the worksheets to introduce and review concepts. Overall, I felt it covered topics that children heading into kindgarten need to know.

Good for review with my child
Good for review with my child. This book is an excellent study source for my child during the summer months. Its is organized in my opinion and takes the mommy guesswork of what's should I have him/her review. The book has a summer reading list in the front, that in my opinion is wonderful. It also has flashcards and a fun interactive website for more study/fun. Covers some basics in visual discrimination, fine motor skills, shape recognition, numbers and counting, colors, phonics/handwriting, patterns,alphabet..etc.

These are great for keeping my kids brains sharp during there summer ...
These are great for keeping my kids brains sharp during there summer break. I have been buying Summer Bridge for 3 summers now. My sister does the same with her kids. They are well thought out and not too boring. The kids don't mind doing them and the daily work is not too much for them.
