Maxxis Holy Roller BMX/Urban Bike Tire

I bought these for a high power ebike with a hot rod rear hub motor. Bought the 26" x 2.2" for front and rear. This current set has 1000 miles of pavement/trail riding on them now. I LOVE these tires. For pavement, I air them up to about 60 psi and the rolling resistance is pretty low and quiet. For trail/dirt, I air down to about 35 psi and they are grippy and confident. After 1000 miles, the rear tire is getting pretty thin on tread and it's time for another pair. These are perfect for what I use them for.

Great tires on pavement or hard pack trails. I put them on my Trek 4300 as I no longer ride many trails. They aren't very good in loose soil or gravel. They do alright on grass. They seem to have low rolling resistance and are a good all around tire if you aren't doing much off road.

I pined away for these tires for two years then finally pulled the trigger. They are great tires-once mounted. However, getting them mounted was a little tricky. For whatever reason, the inside diameter is almost too large for my rim on my original trek 850. It literally slides on with no tools-and off. If you lose TP, you will lose the bead. Maybe that's the way things are today..but I have mounted quite a few tires.The 2.2 will mount on a narrow factory 26 inch rim from the nineties..but just barely. I wish the inside diameter of the tire was just a bit smaller. However, they are on...and amazing.They won't make you superman or avoid mud. They pack up hard in Colorado mud...but everything does. It took my old Trek 850 from boring to fun.

Very nice looking tire for my son's 'BMX' style bike. Went on well and so far he loves them. He mainly rides on streets and gravel bike/walking paths. The tread does not seem as aggressive as the on-line photos, but given his use that will be more than adequate. I will say the side wall seems very thin - thinner than the OEM tire they replaced. But, the tread area is thicker and seems more durable. We'll see how they hold up.With what I know now, very satisfied with purchase -- would buy again.

I had a set of Holy Rollers on an old 26 inch mountain bike, so I already knew they were awesome. I'd consider them about 80% street and 20% dirt. Sort of like a "dual sport" tire. You don't lose speed on the street like you do with standard knobbies, but you still have pretty great grip on dirt. They work well on anything other than sloppy mud. Something like the Torch or the Hookworm I'd say would be more like 90% street, 10% dirt.

This tire does well on street, hardpack, leaves, grass, finer gravel, but this bike doesn't see a lot of loose or chunky terrain, but you weren't looking for an agressive mountain tire, anyway. Fast rolling but knobby enough to handle obstacles like roots and some nice grip that lends improved handling and a whole new life to an old bike that formerly had a 1.95 tire. Fun and nimble handling for this size tire

Installed front and back on a 2008 specialized enduro sl. Moved from AZ to WI and the terrain here is much smoother and faster- hence the purchase. These tires kick ass in this environment! VERY Fast rollers, been on some very rocky and rutty -(is that a word?) trails and they didn't give me any issues. Price tag is mean but so far seems worth it. I only have about 35 miles on them, so sorry- this is not a great review for longevity. If you want low roll Resistance and don't appreciate getting washed out in the Corners this is a great selection.Side note--- I did order two of these as one day shipping- only one made it in time. I believe the orders where separated due to warehouse stock. Amazon paid me back for the shipping and all is well.

Yes! they are almost silent and ride smooth as eggs. I cant wait to stick em in some mud. This replaced a Maxxis Ignitor on the rear, hopefully now i wont sling dirty ditch water, roadkill, dog doo, mud, or Whatever i'm plowing through all over my CamelBack... However, the HolycrapRoller is a little on the light side and felt very thin (like a Trojan) when i installed it.. I May put one up front also if it wears good.

Ich habe mir diesen Reifen als Stadtreifen zugelegt, da meine alten MTB-Reifen einen enorm hohen Rollwiderstand haben und mittlerweile auch so langsam verschließen sind.Optisch sehen sie super aus, sie sind gut verarbeitet und lassen sich trotz des Drahtes gut montieren.Bei höherem Druck ist man damit auch echt zackig unterwegs. Aber die Hauptbremskraft am Rad ist bei den meisten ja sowieso der Wind.Ich habe nun auch schon (versehentlich) einige Glasscherben auf den Straßen mitgenommen, die sie aber unbeschadet überstanden haben.Die Straßenhaftung ist sehr gut, sodass man bei guten Bremsen schnell zum stehen kommt ohne übermäßig zu rutschen.Selbst bei Nässe hatte ich bisher keine Probleme.Und nach einigen hundert Kilometern ist noch kein bemerkenswerter Verschleiß zu erkennen.Im Gelände kann man ihn durchaus auch fahren, solange der Untergrund fest bleibt.Guter Reifen, klare Kaufempfehlung.

I run maxxis Ikon 3c for trail use and these holy rollers for paved/gravel path riding. The ikon is my favourite all round tire but for urban use these holy rollers rock! Fast, quiet, excellent grip and look great. Only gripe is they throw a bit of stones up but not enough to bother me. I have tried many brands and maxxis are the best. Can’t go wrong and worth the money they last a loooooong time

Ich habe diese Reifen als Herbst und Winterreifen für meine i:SY gekauft. Die Big Apple sind einfach nicht gut auf Matsch usw.Die Maxxis sind sehr gut, auch auf Matsch und im Dreck recht spurtreu. Auf Asphalt sind sie etwas lauter und rollen nicht so gut wie Big Apple. Klare Empfehlung von mir.

Super reifen kann ich nur empfehlen sehr schnell und kein Rollwiederstand hätte ich mir Breiter kaufen sollen aber drotzdem im Gelände und auf der Straße unschlagbar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wie bei Maxxis üblich ein guter Reifen, wo neben dem grip auch der Preis stimmt....auf dem dirttrack zeigt er erst richtig seine Stärke .....

Habe hinten noch einen alten Holy Roller ...damals zu heute ein Rückschritt qualitativ wie auch das Design . Einfach nur lieblos 😔
