A good compilation.
A basic compilation of meaningful videogames that take us back to memory lane. My only complaints are that some of the titles reviewed are not that great. Even the author agrees that some of the games presented are not that fun or do not take advantage of the technical capabilities of the Amiga so, why bother ? If you are doing a compilation of just three games per letter of the alphabet, you should at least consider games that truly are “the cream of the crop”, dont you think ?

Another Cash In Book - Don't Buy
This book which proclaims to be an A-Z of Amiga Games is nothing of the sort.It is badly written contains factual inaccuracies, is badly laid out, had so very many Amiga 'Classics' missing. The old saying, do not judge a book by its cover is incredibly apt, this time at least the 'author' has managed to acquire a picture of the actual system the book is for.The second book of Commodore 64 games actually featured a Commodore 128 computer. This is just one of 40? cash in books looking to rip off genuine fans of the system and I for one do not recommend you part with your hard earned cash for itThere are some lovely books out there, the Chris Wilkins / Roger Kean 'History of the Amiga in Pixels' is far better.Don't waste your money. There has been very little proof reading or editing in this or any of the other books by the same authorRequested and received a refund

At £1.99 its overpriced, not a good read and worst of all, amateurish!
I shouldn't expect very much for £1.99 should I?Not so! Amazon has a plethora of e-books that can be had for less than that, and all are a darned sight more professional than this mess. This book would be better given to non-English speakers that are learning for the first time, as a test to see if they can spot all the spelling and grammar mistakes, and that in itself wouldn't be a difficult task as the errors are everywhere. What irks me more is this "author" is prolific, has written lots of these style pamphlets masquerading as books, and yet there is no discernible improvement in its literacy.I've seen some of the reviews after buying this, and whilst I can accept that people find different things to like to others, this isn't remotely close to a 5 star item, and its so far from a 2 star review, that I can't fathom what some others see in these tomes. They certainly didn't see the spelling and grammar issues that's for sure! The other bizarre thing is that this is a PDF book, i.e. it has ZERO printing costs. Which begs the question, why so much empty space? That empty space can and should have been filled with more information or at least more pictures, its beyond amateur that they were left. Some of the claims in the book are libellous. One claim says that Psygnosis stole artwork from a ZX Spectrum game, and reused it for their own game, Agony. The author decided that a reputable software company that has worked with the likes of Roger Dean for its cover artwork would STEAL artwork instead of simply licencing it, and not only STEALING it, but presumably they took the original image, had someone photoshop all the text out of it and restore the image back to how the guessed it originally looked, all so they could use it for their own game?!?!?!?!The reviews are short, not very informative and follow a rather limited formula of 3 games per letter from the alphabet. This is a PDF format, why the scrimping on content????Presumably so the "author" could milk another "book" with the unfortunate Volume 2, etc, etc.I know this is at the lower end of the computer book arena, but its so far off the quality I expect that its really not on that so many fake reviews are inflating this to an impossibly high standard that it isn't even close to attaining.I've had the misfortune to read some snippets from the same authors other books here on Amazon, and I see his lack of writing ability hasn't improved and is much the same.I would be more forgiving if this were a new writer, whom you would expect would get better with time, but this "author" claims to have been a writer for 15 years. In that 15 years you would expect someone to hone their craft.More fool anyone who purchases this rubbish, and shame on Amazon for allowing it.

It's hardly anything special
The reviews are incredibly short, lacking in detail and aren't particularly well researched. I have read a lot better and could probably do better myself if I put my mind to it. Just about worth the £2 it costs, but barely.
