🚀 Elevate Your Heating Game with the Varivalve!
The Varivalve 925006-00 Adjustable Vent Valve is a straight-style quick vent designed with a 1/8" pipe thread for easy installation. It operates quietly, eliminating annoying clicking or hissing sounds, while efficiently allowing air to escape from radiators as steam enters, ensuring faster filling of main lines for optimal heating performance.

Does what it's supposed to: Within reason!
These work, I've never had any issues with the construction. They WILL trap sediment from your steam system (I have single pipe), and they'll need to be cleaned to work again. I soak them in white vinegar (in the open position) for a bit and then flip them back and forth a few times from open to close, then rinse them out.

I would also recommend the right angle ones in case you have radiator ...
I bought these for some of my baseboards steam radiators I think there Burnhams. The ones that I had installed before with the cheap ones from Home Depot. Without for this company they're extremely durable and feel much heavier than they look in the picture. I would also recommend the right angle ones in case you have radiator is that the right angle ones but the straight ones are kind of hard to find so I bought a few of those for back up I've never had to replace one of them yet. If you bought a house like I did being a younger guy with steam heat and you don't know too much about it I have to advise you to pay the $20 and get one for each radiator and install them gently. They're not hard to install just take your time don't force anything make sure you turn things clockwise for tightening and counterclockwise for loose. For example on my radiators I turned them left to loosen them some of them felt tight so I had to use a wrench to undo them but that's OK try to screw them in by hand first at least one or two turns if you can get that far and then afterwards after secure tight fit tight and with the wrench

best vent valve ever
so i originally had the angles (L) shaped valves but they were hissing and had moisture coming out but researched the varivalve and it is amazing, though this is a straight version it works on all my systems horizontally and vertically. no sound, no steam, SILENT A+++++

Functionally Awesome!
This is the first steam vent that actually fulfilled it intended purpose beyond my expectations. I have been having trouble for years getting a piece of 5' cast iron baseboard to heat all the way across. This item has don it with speed and alacrity - perfectly. The old vents, when they worked at all, would barely vent enough air to allow steam to get more than a quarter into the baseboard. And to boot, they kept failing. The last two I used failed for opposite reasons. One ceased to vent any air and the other stopped closing allowing steam to escape. This vent does exactly what it is supposed to do and it does it with perfection. Thank You!I did have to buy some fittings to change the orientation of the valve. I needed a 90 degrees so that the valve was situated vertically rather than horizontally, but that is not the fault of the valve. The valve just works.

Warmed up a cold room
I used this vent valve to increase the heat in my daughter's room. Finding the adjustable valve I had used in the past was impossible. This valve is easy to install and adjust. So far things are good. I do suggest that you check online to see what setting you will need to set the valve to for the room you are placing it in. Unfortunately, the valve does not come with instructions concerning settings. It also does not have a scale on it. Hence the reason you check settings online unless you have installed an adjustable vent before and already know the setting you want. Other than this one problem the valve works great.

Fixed my issue
After years of accepting that one room on the second floor has less than adequate heat, this changed everything. A plumber noticed the existing valve while looking at a different issue and in passing mentioned "you should get a larger opening valve for this floor." After changing it to this one, the room heats up perfectly!!!
