Psycho (1998)

The dvd work great. Of course the movie is a classic no need to review the movie

It is commonly known by Moviegoers the world around that some films are not really appreciated until years after they leave the box office. Psycho 1998 is one of those films, It received a bad reputation way before it even came out. I regrettably was one of those people and I admit I was wrong. Most people just jumped on the "hate a remake" bandwagon and that's because the original was such a coveted classic. I remember watching the original with my Grandmother and my cousins back when I was 7 years old. Many people can tell a similar memory of when they saw the original so it wasn't a matter of the remake being bad it was more a matter of no one wanted to see they're memories tampered with.PSYCHO 1998 is a frame for frame update and that is all! Seriously take the original version and play it next to the 1998 remake and be amazed. The 1998 remake made me appreciate and want to watch the Original even more. So, in the end don't give too much flack to the remake of PSYCHO it really is worth watching.

I remember when this was released and Vince Vaughn was attacked. It’s a bold move to copy the master of suspense, but I think Van Zant did a decent job. I think if he shot in Bkack and White it might have been easier to compare? But that would have taken more time and skill. You don’t just shut the color off and the movie works in black and white. There’s a reason Orson Welles got in writing an agreement Citizen Kane would never be colorized. Not only was that forward thinking by a 25 year old Welles. He knew the skill it took to make it one of the greatest movies of all time and any film colorized by an idiot like Ted Turner proved how little he knew about film.

This isn't the original movie, but the remake. I remember watching this movie in theaters when it first released. I haven't seen it in quite some time. The movie still holds up. It's pretty much a shot for shot remake.

I love this remake because van Sant intended to do it shot for shot as in the Hitchcock original. What a provocative idea! And I don't get the grousing about the cast. Vince Vaughn was great as Norman Bates—maybe not quite as kooky but a lot sexier. Same for Anne Heche, Viggo Mortensen, Julianne Moore. William H. Macy was to my mind a better Arbogast than Martin Balsam. Casting Rose Marie as the voice of Mrs. Bates was a wonderful idea. It's available now at a low price for purchase, so check it out!

I honestly thought bates motel was better but that’s to be expressed because they’re from different times! Still a great movie and fun to watch even if you know the story.

I like it but i have to pay to watch it again. I pay about $250.0 a month and I still have to pay to watch a favorite movie,rip off

My boyfriend rented this for us to watch after we finished "Bates Motel" on Netflix. It was so good! We really enjoyed it. However, it was odd to see Vince Vaughn playing the role of Norman Bates when we usually see him in comedy roles. He did an amazing job though and seeing William Macy (who played Frank on "Shameless") was interesting as well. All in all, it was a really good movie! Just keep in mind while watching it, that it was from 1998.

Watched the movie, as it wasn’t available on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Este plano por plano homenaje al original de A. Hitchcock, merece mucha más atención que la recibida en su estreno. Muy buenas actuaciones acompañadas por el inmortal score de B. Herman. Este disco de Divisa carece de opción off para sub. en v.o. y yo lo hecho de menos. Tiene buena imagen a pesar de no estar remasterizado. Un making of sería deseable. Envío rápido y a tiempo de Amazon.
