Has anyone used them for trail running? Are they bright enough to see objects in the trail before you can trip?

On technical trails, particularly when racing, we do recommend the Shoe Lights be used in conjunction with a headlamp.  This way, the path at your feet is always illuminated by the Shoe Lights while headlamp can be directed forward.

Wgat is the diference between the night running gear and the shoe lights? I walk  at nigh and am looking for somethig to illuminate the sidewalk.

This will illuminate the sidewalk quite well as these attach to the to laces on your shoes. I've used a headlamp in the past. Yet it's not the same. These really work. I highly recommend them. It doesn't illuminate 20 feet ahead. You will see anything you want to avoid stepping in, whether it's puddles, mud, broken concrete. One section of sidewalk I walk on is cracked and broken in spots and its dicey to walk at night. This was when I ran with a head lamp. Once I had the shoe lights, I could see it and felt much more secure and less worried about tripping or falling.I have a 14 year old Jack Russell terrier. Before the shoe lights, he would dart in front of me occasionally while walking as his eye sight is worsening. Once I got the shoe lights, he was much more secure while walking with me at night. He darts much less as the light is surpsingly bright.These are rechargeable lights, too.Great product. I would buy them again. I do not work for the company, nor do I know the owners, nor was I given a pair. I paid for mine. I'd buy them again.

How long do they take to charge?

Couple hours maybe. I come back from my long run on Saturday and charge them up and that does me for the week. Currently running about 25 miles a week with them. I know about 6 people here in town who have them and we all love them.
