LEISURE ARTSMini Maker Embroidery Kit, Pink

I am completely new to embroidery. I have never done it before and have very little sewing experience as well. I'm happy with the kit overall but some things to know:Cons: You will still need to look up online how to do all the different knots and stitches. For this pattern, you need to know french knot, backstitch, satin stitch and the woven wheel stitch. There are no instructions on how to do these and you'll have to look them up online (there are a lot of great youtube tutorials though).Also, the kit comes with one needle and it is waaaayyyy too small for the thread, even with a needle threader (in fact, I broke my threader trying to yank the damn thread through!). So be prepared to buy larger needles for this kit. The thread itself seems very thick in general (according to my mom, who has done a bit of embroidery before) so it makes it difficult to do some of the smaller details.Pros: The pattern is printed on the fabric and the instructions clearly tell you which color and stitch to use where.I haven't finished it yet so I can't say whether or not there will be enough thread for the whole pattern. I also think the kit would benefit from a larger picture of the finished product for reference.

The most ive ever sewn is really a few buttons here and there but wanted to pick up a hobby that I could stop and start anytime. This was a very cute design and way easier than I thought. The instructions with it are not good for beginner's but watching online videos of the stitches was super helpful.My biggest complaint was the needle provided was not large enough for this project. I could barely get it threaded and it would not properly puncture the material. I literally had to use pliers to pull it through every time after both my husband and I tried with no success. I ended up purchasing a bigger needle set from the store the next day.Plenty of thread included, which was great as I had to waste some after fraying it several time with the threading process.Nice kit, joke needle.

Great for the price and great in general! I have NEVER embroidered a day in my life and I think I did a pretty good job. They give you all the thread in all the colors needed cut into 18 in pieces for easy work. Everything worked well and the floss colors are so beautiful together. They give you extra so there is room for mistakes - I had a few - and it’s presented in such a way that it won’t get knotted or mixed up. The ONLY thing you need in addition to this kit is a Needle threader! They are very cheap and worth it, especially for a project like this. That’s it! I didn’t even really use scissors because the thread is all cut to size. Get it! You won’t regret it! I’m getting another one for a family member for the holidays. It was a great time.

It’s a beautiful pattern and great for beginners. I love how the colors go so well with one another. I would just suggest a small change from the manual. Instead of using 6 strands for the satin stitch of flowers, 3 strands work great. I tried both. The dark peach has 3 strands and the light peach was done using 6 strands. I personally like the look of the former. Otherwise, it is a great kit and comes with surplus thread, enough to make another complete piece in the same design!

Very pretty set. I bought this on Prime Day so I was able to get a few dollars off. If you want something that has everything right there and you don't have to figure out colors, etc. this is a good set. As others have mentioned, though, there's no needle included, which is really strange. Why would you have a kit that includes the fabric, stencils image, a hoop and floss but no needle? Really weird.

This was a nice project for quarantine. Shipping took longer than usual which was to be expected during the pandemic. This was my first embroidery and I thought the included instructions were difficult to understand, but found YouTube tutorials very helpful. Finished product looks nice, just like example picture.

Felt like starting a new hobby so I ordered this. I did cross stitch at bible camp as a kiddo but forgot everything except for how to thread a needle. I have had to look up tutorials on how to do certain stitches but overall this kit is great.

This turned out very lovely. I only took off one star because it didn’t show how to overlap the flowers and I wasn’t sure how to do it. This was my very first embroidery though and I am very pleased with how it turned out. The floss was knot free and the colors are accurate to the photo.
