He breaks open the traditional areas of systematic theology in untraditional and refreshing ways that help budding theologians recognize that in "doing" theology, we understand our own perspective more fully and leave open the door for insights into the perspectives of others in different contexts. This is a constructive theological framework, historically grounded as well as revelatory and motivational.
