NOW Foods Beet Sugar, 3-Pound (Pack of 2)

My husband is sucrose intolorent and gets similar symptoms when eating cane sugar to someone who is lactose intolorent eating dairy.Corn syrup doesn't give him any trouble and works great in most recipes that have other liquids in them - I just reduce the other liquids slightly and you'd never know I didn't use cane sugar. Everyone's tummys are quiet & happy. Honey & some molasses brands also don't upset his stomach, but they change the flavor so aren't always good substitutes.For recipes that have little to no liquids in them, this stuff is my go-to. Tastes just & behaves just like cane sugar in every way. It's almost impossible to find in my local markets, so I'm glad it's available here!

Tastes just like the cane white sugar we're used to. I started using beet sugar because of my allergy to grass and therefore my problems consuming wheat and anything that starts as grass, which includes cane sugar. Beet sugar has been the best. I've tried several alternative sugars and they all have a funny taste, but this one tastes just like I want it to -- sweet.

Use this kind of sugar because of allergies

I use this sugar when I make hummingbird food since it is organic and doesn't include iodine. Iodine is bad for hummingbirds. The mixture is 4 tablespoons to 1 cup of water and they love it. I use raw sugar for eating. Anyway, I like this sugar. :)
