Truly a lifechanging book for single moms!
I was struggling to raise four children and in a long and difficult divorce from a man that was not the cooperating kind in any way. This book was JUST was I needed to give me the drive and passion to finish the race. It spoke right to my mother's heart in a nonjudgmental way but instead, Angela came along side me in a warm, grace filled way. She is the sweet friend you want along side of you cheering you on who has been through the depths of trials herself but does not dwell on that but the lessons and blessings along the journey. Angela put the passion and focus back in me of the high calling of motherhood and God's faithfulness in my life.

Recommend!! Great book
Helped me feel like I could relate to someone! Its so hard going through a divorce and just hearing someone else experience, trials and errors gives some comfort. She has great tips and helps you keep the important things in mind - your kids and making their environment the best for them! I also like how she incorporates her struggles of her religion and this impacted her idea of divorce. This is NOT at all a religious book!! But I do like how she touched on this as this is something I really struggled with.I would recommend and I did find a lot of comfort in reading this book.

All Women Should Read This !
This is one of the best books for women I have ever read. All women should read this because it helps you to learn how to become "whole" on your own. It helps you to see the reality that the only one you can really depend upon is God; and that He will really take care of you. It also speaks of the damages that divorce can do to children and how you can best avoid some of the pitfalls. I would give a copy to every single or divorced parent I know, even the men would benefit. It is plain and simple truth told in down to earth ways.

Read the Sample Bought the Book after one page of reading
I was completely blessed by this book and for the reviewers that gave it only two stars well I just think they are not relying upon Jesus. This book is aimed at single moms period. It doesn't go through your own personal situation whether it be an abusive ex husband it just goes through the utter pain and loneliness and awesome kinship of all divorced or broken situation one where you now understand that you are not alone either from the big guy upstairs or of other women that have gone before you. This book is helping me understand how strong I have become and that although I am single I don't need anything else but our Lord and Saviour as a partner in raising my children. This book has been amazing so far. Don't forget the tissues because it did bring tears to my eyes because it just does. Let's face it divorce is ugly no matter how you look at it.

I enjoyed reading this book
I enjoyed reading this book. As a single mom myself it was nice to read about another mom in the same or similar situation. I liked reading her personal stories the best but the advice she gave is very good and encouraging as well. The only downside is that it is a christian book and there are chapters where there's a lot of Jesus worshipping, so when you're not christian it gets a bit annoying but it's not ruining the book. I was able to look past it. I would recommend it to other single moms.

Encouraging
I am not very religious, I believe in a god, most of the times....life has given me reason to doubt...But I did love this book! It helped to encourage me to be positive, 'try' not to lose focus on what important (kids), others truly do understand! I loved Angela's humor in the book. There was a spot in the beginning that it felt like the religion was preachy, but I honestly just skipped a few pages. I had days when things were very hard, and I read this book to brighten me, push me in the right direction. I honestly don't end up reading most of the books I buy, but I did read this one (besides those few pages I skipped)! I am keeping it to 'refresh' my focus at times I need it. It will be a item i may give as a gift to other single moms. The only reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the religious overhaul, and the push about using the dream of some 'hunky' man to save me in the end....not my dream....gave it up a long time ago. I did appreciate the fact that angela was so honest, and sincere, and truly heartfelt. I think she did a great job of making sure you understand this is just 'her' story, and hopefully by reading it, we can take something from it. Which I did, this book is a definate keeper! Thanks so much Angela for your book! It gave me some guidance!

Single Moms
I have read this book before and let a friend borrow it.... but I never got it back.... sooooo I bought it AGAIN! This is an awesome book for any single mom trying to learn how to put her feet on the ground again... I laughed and I cried in this book. When you finally let go and trust that God is in control of your life with ALL things, then you can truley appreciate all Angela is trying to talk about in this book. Let your guard down and be prepared to shed a few tears! And YES, YOU WILL WANT TO READ IT AGAIN and AGAIN! :)

It gives you a really good insight on what to expect at each stage
It gives you a really good insight on what to expect at each stage. I never really looked at it in the same way as the book illustrates and did not realized it until I read it. It felt good not to be the only woman who feels that way.

Angela Thomas, a genuine inspiration
I have only read Angela's book, When Wallflowers Dance, but it immediately altered the way I saw my life, myself and my future. Her practical words of wisdom helped me make it though each day by just focusing on that one day rather than become overwhelmed with the big picture. My "to do" list became a "connect the dots" list -that meant just doing today what I could do for today and lower my daily expectations until the tasks ahead became less threatening and overwhelming. Out of the whole book, I found that "connecting the dots" was the greatest lesson I learned. I received the book at a special event where Angela was the keynote speaker. Her verbal presentation changed my life that evening. I saw a very clear picture of why I was feeling the way I was and how simply I could move out of that clouded space. I bought this book for a friend who leads a single mom's group at church. I also gave her a copy of When Wallflowers Dance. I believe they are a perfection combination to boost a woman's self-esteem and encourage her to go forward in her life with a newly found hope and excitement.

Amazing and encouraging
Most amazing book I've read on being a single mom. Angela is so open and honest and so much of what she said resonated in my heart. I laughed, I cried, I was very encouraged by this book. I'd recommend to anyone wanting insight into life as a single mom. Angela hits it right on the head AND directs her readers right back to God. It feels like you're sitting with Angela and chatting as good friends.
