Unimpressed
On first inspection I was a little underwhelmed at the fit (slightly baggy around the toe area). But I thought for the price I’ve just paid for some socks to keep my feet warm I’m not too bothered about the look..I often get cold feet while hiking so thought I’d treat myself to some extra expensive socks (£30 for one pair is ridiculous really) but I needed to try something!Unfortunately, after spending 6 hours in the Lake District during a late evening hike (temperatures around 1*) my toes were absolutely freezing. Luckily I had a spare pair of socks so I doubled up.Personally wouldn’t recommend spending the money I’ll just layer up next time.

Overpriced for what they are
After reading other reviews i had high hopes for these socks and ordered a pair based on what i'd read. Unfortunately i'm left feeling that they are a mediocre product at best. They are not a very tight fitting sock and as a result unless you want to lace your boots so tight as to cut off your circulation i find that they tend to slip down. As for wearing them in wellies- forget it. I wear tight fitting wellies for work and tried these socks for a day ,never again ,i spent more time pulling off my boots to pull these socks back up than i did walking over sites. For what initially appears to be a well made sock there is a definite lack of elastic in them. My advice would be not to waste your money on these ,for the lions share of £30 a pair i expected a lot more from them.

Superb socks
Heard about these socks from a friend and decided to invest . After a 19km hike up a mountain in wet , winters conditions my feet were warm, blister free and dry . They look great too

I’m a massive fan of the Darn Tough brand. I wear them day in day out and they just last and last, once you’ve worn a hole in them (after a good few years) just fill out the form and pop them in the post. A week later, bam, new pair.Worth every penny.

Expensive but very high quality
Very high quality and fit like a glove...um...on your feet. Very thick though, so may make your boots or shoes feel tighter than expected.
