this book has proven to be a great resource. Highly recommended
As a school counselor working in a Native American school and with Native American children, many of whom suffer from complex and inter-generational trauma, this book has proven to be a great resource. Highly recommended.

Should be required reading for all professionals working with traumatized youth.
Eloquently written and easily read. This book should be on every therapist's book shelf. It informs of the current best practices and warns of the harm professionals can cause traumatized youth if the correct approach is not taken. One size does not fit all.

great current information
This book offered a list of assessments and guidelines for building resiliency. It addressed the needs of chronic trauma that I encounter in the residential setting that I work in. The authors helped me to understand how early trauma is related to the diagnoses I deal with and gave me ideas for treatment.
