Today's Military Wife

I found an older copy of this book at Goodwill and picked it up as a possible gift to a friend who just married into the military. A quick scan through the pages convinced me that I did indeed need to give it to her (for I knew she had very little idea what lay ahead) - but I needed to get a nice, new, recent copy. This book has tons of information that will be of immense use to anyone in the military, in any branch. It includes legal information, contact details for various departments and agencies, basics on rights and requirements and benefits, family issues, etc. It also includes lots of tips on how to manage the military lifestyle - ways to save money, find bargains, adapt to military housing, etc. I haven't seen any other book that covers this wealth of information - it ought to be required reading for any "new" military spouse.

I have been an active duty military wife for over 20 years now and counting. My thoughtful husband gave me this book when he went active duty. It was a godsend. I have recommended it to every new military wife I come in contact with who is wanting more information. It is a wealth of knowledge and resources. They have always said how helpful it was for them.

Good book. The way the military is changing every day, a few things are outdated, like various url's, but otherwise, very informative and helpful. I'd recommend it to any new military wife, or old military wife. (Not old old, old, like, experienced...ok i'm done heh)
