Nissei DSK-1011 Blood Pressure Monitor for Upper Arm by Mark of Fitness

Did not function properly. It kept shutting off without giving a reading.

The headline is a Blood Pressure Monitor for upper arm, yet it goes on your wrist. It seems to be a fine product and a very compact and stylish cubic carrying case. The device is very easy to use and gentle does have the clinical certification. On several uses it seems accurate and is very easy to use. I actually like the product a lot. I just don't like being tricked into buying something. The wrist is upper arm if I reach over my head, or maybe it's upper arm when translated into another language. But in English - the wrist is not upper arm. This is a blood pressure monitor for the WRIST.

Note: The item pictured is not the DSK-1011The DSK-1011 is a sleek unit with a very large LCD screen, easy to see symbols and numbers. Its accuracy was confirmed at the doctor's office. It's easy to use with one-button operation and two memory banks (up to 60 readings each IIRC) so two of us can keep track of our readings. I recommend it.Edit to add on 7/18/15:I'm not sure what other people have gotten when ordering this item, but here's what I know:The DSK-1011 is the armband version. It's not the item in the photo on this page as of 7/18/2015. The screen on the DSK-1011 resembles the screen on the WSK-1011, which is the wrist version. If you check that product, you'll see that it has a big square screen and a band on the backside of it. The DSK-1011 is a very solidly made product. Ours has been reading accurately since we got it, confirmed at a doctor's office. The readings on any unit you buy should be confirmed with your doctor or nurse at the office at least once.
