Great compression Thigh His
I wear these because I have trouble with my feet and lower legs swelling (fluid retention) . I have tried several brands that are marketed for this purpose over the past two years . I like Ames-Walker the best for a number of reasons:They stay up, that being said I did have one sock that did not for whatever reason, but only one out of a number. The reason if you have trouble with not staying up is wrong size. They last a long time I get about 45 days of wear per pair, I hand wash them every day and alternate between two pair so two pair last about 3 months. They are comfortable .Finally customer service is great.I highly recommend these if you need support for either women or men.

Good performance
I was measured at a store locally, so I knew exactly what size to order. And, I bought my first pair locally, so I knew what color I wanted and how the stockings worked. I was pleased with this brand, and I continue to be pleased. They work really well for me. The only complaint that I have is with the seam in the top band. The elastic fibers tend to start coming loose, but probably that is the case with any stockings of this sort. I would recommend these hose, but I think it might be a good idea to go to a store in your area to be measured first and to find out the size you need before ordering. Then buy from here. It definitely saved me money!

One stays up great, and one slips down (regardless of which leg ...
These are really helping my varicose veins. I read some reviews about the elastic band slipping, and some that said it was never an issue. Well I got one of each! One stays up great, and one slips down (regardless of which leg I wear it on). Not sure why they'd be different, since they're both the same size and it's not a problem with the size being wrong (since one stays up perfectly). The compression aspect is great, though! Nice to not have to wear full hose.

Great looking legs....
These were purchased for my girl. But she said they have to be the best feeling compression hosiery thi high she has worn. They don't look like other brands and they have a nice shine to them (I have to agree). The bands hold them up without slipping down the thigh. Ordered XL and they fit great.Definitely will be ordering more.

Compared Jobst, Sheer Ease and VIM & VIGR to Truform. Truform wins.
I love these compression hose.I first bought a Jobst brand pair ($90) of compression hose at a local pharmacy. They fit right but as someone who walks during the middle of my day the hose would begin to sag and roll. The hosiery would eventually stop at my knee and would cut the circulation, totally defeating the purpose of compression hose. I ended up buying a garter but found out that if there is silicon on the edge of the hosiery the garter is useless. I started to look for hosiery that didn't have the silicon on it. Not having ever used a garter I wanted to be sure I used it correctly. I realized pretty quickly a garter is not for me. I found it very frustrating to put on.I bought a pair of Sheer Ease and this pair of Truform both under $25. The compression for the Jobst was 20-30. The Sheer Ease and Truform are both 15-20. The Sheer Ease also rolled down. When I first tried on the Truform I was sure I was not going to be able to use them. The Truform does not feel anything like the Jobst or Sheer Ease. The material feels a little like polyester. I initially felt like they were cheaply made. I was wrong. After washing them once, by hand I felt a change in the texture of the material. I now only wear the Truform. I have large calves and legs and these Truform compression hose don't roll down. They may sag just a little at the ankle but stay put at my thigh. I walk a mile during lunch and these stay put. No other products needed. The Truform have two silicon bands which obviously work. The Jobst have silicon beads that aren't very effective.I own several pair of VIM & VIGR ($32) compression socks. I must buy large. Unfortunately, because they're long I constantly had to adjust them. They would cut circulation at the ankleI plan on buying more.

MY SISTER IS DELIGHTED!
My sister had a procedure done that requires her to wear thigh high compression stockings. She had 1 pair that cost $40.00 at the medical supply store, and I gave her 2 pair that I had, but they were a size Medium and she really needed a small. I ordered these for her & she says they are as good as the far more expensive ones from the medical supply store. Now she can wear a pair to the gym, take them off to go in the pool, then after showering she has a nice clean pair to put on & wear for the rest of the day. They fit her perfectly & she said they stay up without being too tight and without resorting to using a garter belt.

Comfortable, but one of mine ripped
I ordered these because I have varicose veins and was in need of another pair. When I was first putting these on, I got the first one just over my knee and all of a sudden a huge hole ripped in them. (Yes, I bought the correct size and was being careful.) So I tried the other one and it went on just fine. So far I can say it is comfortable and it stays up well, even through sleeping in it and lots of walking.I couldn't find a way to contact the seller about the ripped stocking.
