Shoulder Pain in Relations to Rite 4 ??
Great read, did enjoy reading it, also enjoyed the other sections besides the rites, although I would have also liked to see some content in relations to the changes you expect to see while doing these rites, for example I've been doing them for just about 2 months, haven't missed the day and have increased 2 cycles per week as per the instructions, except for the first 2 weeks where I could only increase 1, anyway somewhere around the 4th week I noticed pains on both of my shoulders - seems actually in the bone right on top of the shoulder - when I touched, it hurt, though it was for the both shoulders, right one was more painful, I think the rite 4 was the cause. I did keep the rites going and it seems the pain is now starting to fade away so I am feeling a bit better but for a while I was getting a little worried and having some content in the book would have been comforting - moving forward I'm wondering if there are any other symptoms going to appear.By the way I'm wondering if anyone else had this while doing these rites or any other pains or aches, please do share ....... on the flip side if anyone starting these and having the same issue, this may help :)Once again great book, really enjoyed the read. Thanks,

Wonderful insight
I found the testimonials to be a bit over the top, but looking at the science of the five rites through a medial practitioners view point is quite interesting. I already know that the five rites have done wonders for me, I sleep better, eat well and manage a health weight, I find I'm more alert when I am awake. So i quite enjoyed reading exactly how it is thought that the five rites help us from our limited world view.

Compared to the first book it's a continuation of Health, Energy, and personal Power which I find interesting as well.
I practice yoga, and I find value in this book and am inspired by what is written, reap rich benefits.

This is informative, well written, respectful of the original work with much interesting discussion.
This second book compliments Peter Kelder's original work well. It is not written on the back of the first work in any 'cashing in' sense. To read it feels like eves-dropping on an informative discussion among enthusiasts. Various contributors discuss the rites in some detail. The contributors, plainly expert in their own fields, put forward their own views of how and why the rites work. These discussions are interesting and informative in their own right. Not one of them even questions the fact that they do work - nor, I believe, would anyone who has made them part of their daily routine. It is hard to believe that anyone who starts the rites, especially in later life, will stop them. I do not think the suggestion that the rites reverse ageing is necessarily helpful. That touches people's natural scepticism which is a shame if it causes them to miss out on their benefits. My experience is that they halt deterioration. They instigate a restoration of pain-free bodily function which I would not have believed possible without experiencing it. The closer I adhere to the mythical Colonel Bradford's instruction the better they work for me. This second book is not primarily about 'enhancement' of the teaching. The rites bring about a sense of well being that is hard to explain. It is natural to wonder why> This book is about why? It may or may not provide the answer but the discussion is fascinating and mentally stimulating. I would suggest you stay with Peter Kelder's book until you have experienced what they do for you. Your natural enthusiasm after that experience will lead you to the second volume soon enough. I am very grateful to the contributors and the editor for instigating and overseeing the project.

Excellent
Love this book ... read the first one and felt compelled to buy this one. Being doing the exercises regularly and certainly do feel the benefit. Give it a go! Update ... have today been taken off medication for high blood pressure which I have been on for almost 15 years ... I can only put it down to doing these exercises ... proof of the pudding!

Do these simple excercises, they change your life.
This is by far the best 5 Rites book, highly detailed and true to the history and cultural background of the rites. The warm up excersises here are perfect. Highly recommend, all you need is this book and a yoga mat and you have sorted your mental and physical well being.

A great guide to the Practice
This is a great guide to the practice of the 5 Tibetan Rituals . The original text is very terse and feels somewhat outdated . Whilst this guide seems to acknowledge this it also achieves to maintain respect and purity for the practice but brings it into the present day . It also adds additional ideas for associated practice such as meditation and mantra recitation which is welcome I think . I complete the 5 Tibetans every day of my life . A great routine .

Book number 2
The first book was fab, so I was HUGELY disappointed with this follow up. I couldn't wade through all the pages, so boring. I shouldn't have bothered ordering this one.
