I have a very full head of head. The hair itself is not thick nor is it fine but the amount of hair on my head is unbelievable. My hair is naturally wavy and would be curly if it were short and did not have all the weight on it. I do not style it often because it takes a good bit of time to style it. Depending on the straightening product, it can take up to 4 hours to get my hair extremely straight. I had started using a straightening brush for a while because it was faster but it wouldn't give me the very sleek, straight look that a flat iron gives me. Please remember to turn it off after usage.Upon opening the package I noticed that the cord is nice and thick. There is a velcro strap attached to the cord to keep it organized rather than wrapping the cord around the flat iron, which is not good to do. Where the cord attaches to the flat iron it gets thicker and even has a built-in hoop to hand it on a hook if someone wanted to. The cord is free moving where it attaches to the flat iron so no twisted up cord when using it.The arms of this flat iron have motion where they come together allowing it to better adjust to the sections of hair being straightened to help prevent snags as well as uneven touching to the hair. There are small protruding dots where your fingers grip the handle to help prevent slipping. There are also grips at the tips where someone may pinch the arms together. The plates are very smooth. They are an orange-yellow color and have a shimmer to them.On the inside of one arm is the power button, which lights up red when in use. It flashes red when it is heating up and stays red when it has reached the selected temperature. Below the power button are 5 lights that correspond to temperatures. They light up blue next to the temperature that it is set to. To change the temperature just hit the power button until the light is next to the desired temperature. The settings are 270, 320, 360, 410, and 450 degrees. To turn it off, cycle through all the temperatures and after 450 it will turn off. It automatically shuts off after 50 minutes.My first time using this flat iron I was extremely impressed with how fast it heated up. I had turned it on early to give it time to heat up but it was ready in less than a minute. It runs through my hair smoothly with minimal snagging. It straightened my hair pretty fast. I didn't have to keep going over the same spots repeatedly and I didn't have to have to go really slow down the hair. This is a huge time saver! This last time that I used it I didn't even sit in front of a mirror. I was at my computer desk reading! I was that confident in this flat iron doing a good job. My hair does not feel dried out and damaged after using it either but I also use heat protecting products in my hair as well.I would recommend this flat iron. It is easy to use and gets the job done pretty fast.

Glide smoothly through my hair. Surprised how quickly it heats up. I have medium damaged hair, but it works great on it. And I found it is lighter than other hair iron, so It is easier for my whole process. And the plates looks shiny with crystals, maybe it is the argan oil infused it claimed. Recommend to my friend already. Worth the money.

I wish the ends touched as I have to make 3 passes to get it to cover the same spot of hair because the blades are not close

I bought this for my 26 year old daughter. She's been using the same Chi straightener since high school. She loves this straightener better than her $110 Chi. It works well and does not have a burning smell when it hearts up. It makes her hair soft. She said, "It will be my go to straightener from now on.".
