This stuff is amazing. The spool shown at left is in reality is 2 inches high and 1 inch wide at the base - and that is the spool not the silk which is smaller, and yet, there is 200 yds on the spool. The thread itself is so fine I can hardly feel it between my fingers, but I sure can't break it. I am looking forward to using it in a quality item, and I would buy it again.

I decided to teach myself how to restring my pearl necklace. After practice and tutorials, the finished project with this perfect silk thread is beautiful. Easy to knot, even for a beginner like me.

This looks like natural silk, however can't be sure it is 100% silk. The staples are very short and loosely woven, it's ok for costume jewellery but will not recommend for natural costly pearls nor for a novice in stringing. I ended up going back to Griffin silk, which is a superior quality product.

This is the perfect thread for pearls or semi precious beads, because the synthetic thread can damage them. It is easy to use, and makes a very nice drape for pearl necklaces.

If you are looking for bulk beading cord, I can easily recommend this thread. It's a good size for smaller beads, easy to pull through with a beading needle, although you have to be careful and watch for fraying. It would be good to ream any beads that appear rough in the hole before running the cord through. Beads hang nicely after you're done.

Nice thread but it stretches too much, and the knots don't hold without glue. A bit disappointing.
