I was brought back to my childhood the minute I opened the box. These were just like the originals, if you ask me! They tasted delicious, and I cannot believe how many I've already eaten. :) The packaging was good and the item was received quickly. They were not melted in any way whatsoever. I will buy them again for certain.SECOND PURCHASE: They arrived timely and nicely packaged. They were just as good as the first batch. I immediately cracked a tooth on my second one which ended up costing me $1250 for a crown! Unbelievably expensive for the taste of a Sugar Daddy. I immediately gave the rest of the box to a friend with children. That last one will be my last Sugar Daddy! I should have known as I have chipped a tooth here and there over the years eating them, but this one cracked the tooth fully down the center. Ugh. Oh well.

I've bought Sugar Daddys a number of times over the past years, each time being so disappointed with the consistency and flavor. When I've called the Tootsie Roll company Customer Service, they've told me there's been no change in the recipe and that they're made the same as always. Unfortunately, that representative never suggested it might be an issue of FRESHNESS! I ordered a box of 24 suckers in late June 2010 through DAB Nutrition on Amazon, and have been blissfully happy since they arrived. It is the same rich caramel flavor I remembered. So, be sure your sucker is fresh or else you'll have a crumbly, poor quality experience! Arrived quickly as requested. No problems. Thank you!

Would give zero stars if I could. $47.93 down the drain. Will not purchase from this seller again.

When I purchased this item, it was priced reasonably. However, it is too pricey at this time.

I don't think this wonderful candy has changed one bit since the days of my youth...which were (I hate to admit) a great many years ago.Thanks for keeping the Sugar Daddy just as good as I remembered.

I just lost around 50 pounds and was looking for something I could cheat with that wouldn't just vanish in a few bites and satisfy my desire for something sweet and caramely. These weren't as soft as the ones I purchased from my favorite fish camp which were so soft I could eat them like caramel chews but were fresh just the same. I love the taste and just when I think I will have to indulge in a second one (knowing that would be soooo wrong) I finish it and feel completely satisfied and relieved to be so. The shipping is not super fast but fast enough. I'm 60 so these bring back the good ole days when we ate sugar daddy's, sugar babies, black cow, taffy and of course baby ruths.

Just like they used to be!Very fresh - will purchase again - recommend.Update: Purchased these again (October 2017) and they were wonderfully fresh and delicious, just as before. Very pleased.
