Size and fitting of for a large flag.

The quality of the case was disappointing, the wood staining was uneven and poor quality. There were multiple scratches and dents in the wood. There was visible glue and scratches on the front of the case. I considered returning it but ended up keeping the case and fixing and touching it up. I did not want to get on an endless cycle of damaged cases. Positive points the case was large enough for the flag we received at the memorial service ( 5x9.5). It is solid wood, the clear front is plexiglass not glass, but it is thick and held in place by small wooden slats.

I love the wood and the color of it. What I don't like is that they substituted the glass front with acrylic because they stated that there was such a high demand for glass. They put a notice in the packaging stating that there was a 50/50 chance on getting either glass or acrylic. I would have liked to have been notified prior to receiving the flag case.

I put my Husband's flag in it to show it at his funeral everyone loved it

Purchased this case for my father's memorial flag. The case is very nicely made and very attractive. The flag fit perfectly in the case and displays well with no gaps between the flag and the case at all. Most people who buy these cases tend to be very picky about them because of the sentimental "value" of the flag being stored inside. This case definitely does well to maintain the shape and integrity of the flag. Some of the reviews state that their flag needed to be stuffed in the case. The case should be slightly smaller than the flag to ensure that there are no gaps between the flag and the case at any point. If this case is extremely too small for your flag then it's more than likely because it was folded incorrectly not an issue with the case.

After my wife's brother's funeral service, she was presented with the American flag. We wanted to display it in our home so we ordered this display case, all the while being careful not to unfold it! The flag just makes it in the case with zero room to spare. It is very solid and well put together and is something that will be in our family for generations to come.
